We were referred to Alcor Solar by our pool company and the referral was well justified. When they initially came to our home, they surveyed our roofs for the best panel location and measured the size of the pool to determine the correct number of panels required to heat it. Cliff and Jeff did an incredible job of installing the panels and connecting them to our existing pool system. Not only does the system perform well, it looks great. They completed the installation in one day and cleaned up after themselves when done. I would recommend Alcor Solar to anyone who is looking into cutting the costs of heating a pool. You won’t be disappointed.

We got solar pool heating installed and every day in the spring, summer and fall our pool is at 80-85 degrees depending on where we set it. In the summer the pool can actually get too warm so we simply adjust the automatic thermostat. They installed it quickly and cleaned up everything spotless. Because I had an older pool pump they needed to order a special part which was hard to find and in 3 days it was installed. I had a concern about the need for them to cut concrete but they were able to tunnel below the concrete so it looks seamless. No more need to heat the pool with gas and my bills have gone way down and we can enjoy the pool for many more months. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

My family first used Alcor Solar when our first pool solar panels were installed in the 90's. We had the roof redone in 2013 and had updated pool solar panels installed then. We recently had Alcor come out to repair a leaking solar panel. They are responsive, honest, and always go above and beyond. And Al is the best 🙂

Do not use this service. This company is unprofessional and their quality of work is terrible. They don’t provide notice of when they will show up for service calls and then bill you when the problem still persists.

I agree with the previous comments about the unprofessionalism of this business. Scheduling is a nightmare, and Al gets very irritated if you ask for timing so they can access your roof.

The owner appears very unstable based on email exchanges; they lost our payment, then found it. In the meantime, they refused service, and when they found the check we provided, they asked to cash it in exchange for servicing manufacturer defects with Solar Industries collectors. They are exclusive in the area so I would look elsewhere as you are stuck with someone who is a little off.

They don’t stand by their product install and warranty from Solar Industries (Aquatherm). We have defects in the installation, including leaks on our roof from the collectors after 4 years, and now the valve is not working.
