From the first phone call with Rick to the "check-in" after installation with Dillon the experience has been beyond 5 stars. Not only did they provide detailed estimates of our needs but walked us through the entire process from permitting to activation. We've had the solar array functional for about 1 month now and we couldn't be happier with it's performance. Not only are we covering ALL of our daily power needs but we are generating extra to get us through the darker days of winter. Since our utility, PVREA allows us to "bank" the excess power we anticipate minimal-to-zero monthly bills from here on out. In fact, our latest bill which included 3 weeks of solar was approximately $19. That's down from about $270 the month before. Extremely satisfied with the project. Alt E were professional and informative from the beginning. They met me at my home, explained their design and installation plan, and provided their proposal very timely. Their install crew was organized, understood the scope, and performed the installation on time and within budget. Truly a joy to work with. The coordination with Xcel to activate the system was comprehensive, they handled the entire process. My ground mount solar array has been up and running for a month now, and I couldn’t be more pleased.
The team at Alt E Wind and Solar were on-site for the site survey just a few days after I contacted them. They understood all my requirements and they were up-front about potential risks (like underground rocks). I had their proposal the same day. I got several other proposals, from both local and distant companies. All of the proposals had similar prices. No other company gave me the confidence I felt while dealing with Alt E.
Alt E handled the permitting with the county and Poudre Valley REA. All I did was provide a few signatures.
They started construction ahead of schedule. When they did discover underground rock, we discussed our alternatives and quickly decided on a plan (involving a jack hammer) that added just a day to the schedule. The crew was polite and professional. They worked through several February snow storms and I was generating electricity ahead of schedule.
Rick, Amy, Nick and their crew were a pleasure to work with, from start to finish – and I highly recommend Alt E Wind and Solar.

Alt E Wind & Solar helped us design 5 systems to offset our irrigation energy costs. These systems ranged from 13.6 KW on the small end to 76 KW on the large end. From the very first phone call to answer some high level concept questions, to the design, ROI, funding sources, negotiating with Xcel Energy, implementation, and follow up, Alt E Wind & Solar, Ltd has been by our side. There was significant education needed from them in order to make this large of investment. They took the time and never made us feel pressured to take the next step or do something we weren't ready for. This collaboration allowed us to fine tune the solution, make some needed energy efficiency changes, and structure a financial solution that made the system more easily cashflow for the business. I'm very pleased with the purchase and installation of my solar array on my property by Alt E. From the beginning Rick and Nick both took a consultative approach to educate me on the specifications as it relates to sizing of the array, location, and working with Poudre Valley Electric Cooperative (PVREA). They did not pressure me on a decision or a specific direction. They anticipated problems and were very upfront about what they might run into. They fielded my many questions, were willing to allow me to do some minor work to help defray costs and delivered exactly what their proposal outlined. Also very pleased with their installation crew who were professional and patient with my questions and curiosity throughout the installation process. They worked tirelessly and coordinated well with the county inspectors and PVREA. The system is performing as expected. Very pleased.

Alt E Wind & Solar has proven to be very professional throughout the planning and installation of our solar panels. EVERY one of our questions was thoroughly answered and explained in much detail. Proposed installation plans and options were priced out to the penny and adhered to throughout. Their business ethics are beyond reproach.
