I did think of Ameren as a company with accountability. Now my opinion has changed. I always pay my bill on time. I am at a time in my life where I can do that. That doesn't mean that it isn't expensive for me though. It is!!! Now I have just received a bill on March 21st, due on April 4th, for EXTRA charges that they supposedly forgot to bill from October 2024 through the present period, late March 2025? Um....WHAT No other explanation was included. Just a very brief billing line next to the charges for each of these past months. What person in their right mind would think "Well okay, I guess I'm going to have to come up with approximately $700. for you, Ameren." Even if they did have a mix up, it's not MY mix up, it's theirs'. And where is the proof of this mix up? Not in this seven page bill they sent. I don't see how they think they can do this? It smacks of criminal extortion. It also smacks of a comedy routine gone terribly wrong. Ameren, billing isn't a circus of clowns, but you obviously treated it that way. That is not MY PROBLEM. NOT MY MISTAKE! Only a clown would think they can correct their mistake by billing someone else. Hmm, maybe I'll bill Ameren and put a due date of 13 days from the time received...what do you think? Light humor aside, I WILL be fighting this with every tooth and nail. Oh, and psst (google review makes you put at least one star before being able to submit) THE ACTUAL AMOUNT OF STARS IS MINUS 100

This place is god awful. Lazy workers. Lazy people. Overcharging us for the power going out at Least twice a month and they take their sweet time "fixing" anything. Its 100 degrees power out 4 hours and they haven't even began to solve the problem. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS company. What a Joke. Close at 7pm for calls. Must be nice

Power went out at 730 last night this is absolutely ridiculous. Never in my life have I experience a12 hour wait time for people to come and do there job. Do you know with this heat it could turn into something serious then Yal will really have a problem on your hands. It's 100 something degrees out people have kids that could suffocate from this heat and Yale just go home with Yals air and electricity. The fact that every time the power goes out u guys wait until 12 hours the next day to fix it it's redciouls. Wth do Yale even get payed for. Literally have not seen one truck out here at all. Not one. And it's dang near been 12 hours and not one ameren truck or anything has been on this street fixing anything. 3 time I've had to throw groceries out ima start sending Yal the bill this is absolutely ridiculous. Smh get better workers!!!

Always overly expensive. Doubling prices. Has consistent power outages and this one today has been the LONGEST 16 hours of my life with no electricity and it’s freezing in my home. Ridiculous. How are these people even in business still. No one would take my call. This is an electric company, there should be 24 hour emergency services ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU HAVE YOUNG CHILDREN IN THE HOME.

Not only do you over charge us all, but our power goes out from a thunderstorm You need to get aggressive on cutting trees. The money you steal doesn't go back into infrastructure like it should. I still have no power over a thunderstorm that could have been prevented if you cut more trees back. Incompetent and running a company by the seat of your pants. If someone farts near your lines the power goes out!!!

Horrible experience with Ameren trying to get them to do a final inspection and give us permission to operate our solar panels. It's been months with little word from them. Our installer has submitted all required documentation and commissioned the system. They and we call several times a week with no response. Ameren seems to be deliberately stalling to discourage people from switching to green energy.

They do great when you suspect a gas leak. Came out within 15 minutes and made sure my family was safe.

That being said, my power is unstable. It has gone out 5-6 times in the last two days, for no reason. It's ridiculous that I pay so much for delivery and use when it's so unstable. This is a regular occurance during the Summer, with or without bad weather.

At this point, someone should start their own electric and gas provider. I'd rather pay more for reliable infrastructure than what this joke of a company provides.

If I could give minus zero stars I would. Lazy lazy lazy rude rude rude. TIM is rude called me 655 to tell me power lines in trees were everyone else's problem. No one told him to wait 5 minutes until they close. I said so when do you cut trees when a problem arises? I said I don't understand he said the way the world works? Really rude lazy smart mouth Tim? Don't wait til quitting time. Tree needs trimmed.
