American Solar managed to do something I never thought possible, Woke me up with a telephone call before my cats could wake me up to feed them.

And I realized it was not american solar, just some stupid third-world scammers.

So before you give a negative review on an american company, please do some research.

Honest, fair priced, family owned solar company with experienced techinicans and reliable service personnel. American Solar is based in Marin County, less than 15 miles away from San Francisco, CA. They donate panels to non-profit agencies which you don't see often in this industry. Remarkable work! Call them for an estimate.

Revising my one-star review in response to the owner's reply to my original comment. Anyone that attentive is clearly paying attention and deserves a fair shake. And as someone who recent invested in solar on my own home in the PNW (not in the Bay area, sorry!) I can confidently say that it's well worth the investment in both the environment and your wallet. Utilities are always going to go up, but the cost of your panels won't!

The REAL American Solar is a honest, reliable and very reputable solar company here in the North Bay that has obviously been a victim of some kind of offshore spam attack. I had a solar system installed by them several years ago that is still working like a charm--paid for itself after only 5 years. I am now working on a potential battery back-up system.to supplement my existing solar panels. All the unsolicited robocalls claiming to be "American Solar" are phony. That's not what these guys do.

Beyond irratated by the spam calls at 5:00 am but I went to the website and read the reviews. American Solar is not the same person responsible for the calls. Please read the reviews before spamming 1 star reviews.

I did not use their service, however, I received a robo call going by their name and went to their website/reviews because initially I thought they were the ones who were employing robo call tactics. I easily found on their website that this is not the company that is doing this, they even have an email address in their contact us section you can send information to to report it. I appreciate this being something that was easy to find and wish their company the best in light of what I imagine is something unexpected and hard to deal with for them.

Not at all surprised to see the number of 1 star reviews here! They cold called me asking if I would be interested in solar. When I began to say I already have 30 panels on my roof, click! No "thank you," no "have a nice day," I didn't even finish my fairly short response! They just hung up on me! I don't know about you, but I would never do business with a company that discourtious! After all, I didn't call them, they called me!

I’m reading these reviews about people receiving solicitation calls. Well, maybe they should focus on the customers they’re losing during those calls?

We connected with them through Tesla in February. It is now June and STILL no proposal from them. Chet came to our property a month and a half ago. Said he’d work up something easily in 45 mins and call to discuss. A few texts and calls...and six weeks later, still NADA.
The clock keeps ticking away on rebate expirations.
Beyond disappointing.
