Anderson Inn - Morro Bay, California

Fourth place we have stayed at in Morro Bay and this is the nicest hotel so far. Beautiful clean rooms with nice amenities, and a wonderful balcony facing the bay (Captain' Room).|Comfy bed, decent size TV, Nespresso machine, glass door fridge, and microwave. Two separate sinks and separate shower and tub in bathroom. Gas fireplace kept the room toasty but also has a split AC/Heater in the room. Four covered spaces with three chargers for those with EVs. There is an elevator so no problems getting bags to room.||Right on top of the Galley which made it convenient. Close to center of town so can't beat the location. About two minutes from Giovanni's||Staff is super friendly and helpful. When asked, they provide a LG specific remote so I changed the input in the TVs. Was able to cast from my phone to the TV without issue.|Free wifi but my TMobile signal was pretty decent.||One minor thing which hopefully they can improve on is there are no charging ports or outlets on the night stand which we found at most places we stay at during the year. I mentioned this while checking out and the friendly young man at the front desk who acknowledged the issue and they will try to address it. ||Just got word they are addressed this and ports have been installed! ||Had a wonderful stay here. Will definitely come back the next time we come to MB.

Morro Bay is sort of a sleepy little harbor town, so I honestly didn't have high expectations for our accommodations - I was just happy to be near the water - but Anderson Inn surprised me in a very good way.

It's in a spectacular location in the middle of the strip. The view from the Starboard room is absolutely breathtaking. The room was SPOTLESS, like we were the first ones to ever stay there (props to the housekeeping team). The bed was plush and comfy. The shower had great water pressure and was also very clean. The gas fireplace made it especially cozy on the chilly nights. And the staff was incredibly friendly - Connor, especially, made us feel so welcome!

I absolutely LOVED our stay at Anderson Inn and highly recommend the starboard room.

My wife and I visited for two nights and loved everything about Anderson Inn. Rooms were roomy, well equipped and very comfortable. The hotel is small but the rooms are quite large, all one floor up from ground level. Its location is right in the center of the Embarcadero, the street running along the waterfront. The restaurant that’s associated with the inn is the best in town and visitors to the inn can snag a reservation, even though the restaurant normally doesn’t take them. The hotel personnel are very nice; we even got a call on our way up to Morro Bay letting us know our room was ready early. If we go back to Morro Bay we would definitely stay here again.

I stayed at the Anderson Inn many years ago and when planning my Spring Break trip thought it would be a fun getaway. And we loved it so much we already booked next year's stay! It's in a great location along the water, the staff is very friendly and helpful (especially to book a meal at The Galley, delicious!). The room itself is my happy place. I booked the Starboard Suite and not only is it spacious, nicely decorated and comfortable, but it looks right on the water and right at sea lions and otters. And even better? It was baby otter season! I could spend hours on the balcony looking at the sea life. Highly recommend.

5 stars all the way around. Reservations were easy, communication was excellent, rooms were super clean, wife loved the jetted tub (I don’t think every room has them) and the price point was very fair and a good value. You’re right downtown so it is a great location. I thought it was going to be a little loud, but room was super quiet. Anderson Inn was more than a place to stay- it’s a destination. My girlfriend and I have stayed here many times. The main reasons are, we are treated very well, the rooms are very nicely kept and arranged, and the staff is very pleasant and thorough. We love that it is right on the water with an incredible view of the harbor and the Rock. We are just steps away from the shops and restaurants though they will make you a reservation at their dockside restaurant where the food is great.|Conner at the front desk recognized that we were returning guest and brought us a bottle of champagne 🍾 |It was a great stay and no doubt we'll be coming back again

First of all, the view is perfect. Our balcony overlooked the rock! Second, every detail was excellent--bed,bath,accessories.The shower even had three levels. Third, we got to eat at the Galley next door with reservations at a waterside table--just delicious!|The staff was very helpful.And finally, they even had twisted towels in the shape of otters--a special touch!

Truthfully, I hesitate to leave a review for fear it will become even more popular than it is. It was our third visit, and we loved it a much if possible as the first two. We have nothing to say but superlatives. The restaurant adjacent, The Galley, is an excellent choice for dinner. Wonderful food, service and view. Morrow Bay is a great little town to explore, and the Garden Shop down the street is not to be missed. Looking forward to our next visit.
