For those exploring the Arizona landscape, particularly in the greater Phoenix metropolitan area, APS Construction Services Center stands as a notable entity within the construction sector. Located at 16800 N Dysart Rd, Surprise, AZ 85378, this facility operates under the parent company, APS (Arizona Public Service), a prominent Electric utility company. Its physical presence serves as a crucial hub for coordinating activities related to utility infrastructure development and maintenance across the region. The center functions not merely as an administrative office, but as a focal point for on-the-ground operations, supporting a wide array of construction, installation, and service delivery tasks directly tied to the utility's core business.

Location and Accessibility

The strategic location of the APS Construction Services Center in Surprise, Arizona (85378), places it within a key growth corridor for the Phoenix metropolitan area. This positioning allows the center to efficiently serve a large customer base and manage projects across a significant geographical footprint. For individuals seeking to visit the center, its specific address provides a clear point of reference. Furthermore, the facility is committed to ensuring accessibility for all visitors. The presence of a Wheelchair-accessible car park is a significant feature, indicating a consideration for visitors with mobility challenges and promoting inclusivity in access to the site.

Core Function and Specialties

The primary function of the APS Construction Services Center is intrinsically linked to its parent company's identity as a major Electric utility company. This means its operations are fundamentally focused on the planning, execution, and oversight of projects related to the generation, transmission, distribution, and maintenance of electrical power infrastructure. The center likely serves as a central point for coordinating field activities, managing project timelines, sourcing materials, and overseeing the workforce required to deliver these essential energy services.

On-Site Services and Broader Scope

The center explicitly mentions 'On-site services' as a point of interest. This implies that the facility is not just a command center but is also equipped or staffed to provide immediate assistance or technical support directly at project locations. This could range from coordinating equipment dispatch to providing technical expertise on-site. While its core role is undoubtedly tied to the utility sector, the nature of construction services within a utility context can be quite broad. This might encompass residential, commercial, and industrial projects, including the installation and maintenance of power lines, substations, and other critical energy infrastructure components. The 'On-site services' aspect suggests a focus on practical, hands-on support integrated with project management.

Reputation and Online Presence

In the digital age, a company's online presence and reputation are vital. APS Construction Services Center maintains a website at aps.com, providing information about its parent utility company and potentially related services. Contact details, including a phone number, are readily available for inquiries and scheduling. However, it is important to consider external feedback. The center appears to have an active presence on Google My Business, with a documented 68 reviews. While this volume of feedback suggests customer engagement, the average rating is quite low, standing at 1.6 out of 5 stars. This statistic warrants attention, as it potentially reflects experiences related to service delivery, project timelines, customer interactions, or site conditions encountered by those utilizing their services.

Understanding the Average Opinion

The average rating of 1.6/5 is a critical piece of information. Such a low score often indicates significant dissatisfaction among a portion of users. It is essential to interpret this statistic within the context of the services provided. Given the specialized nature of utility construction, factors like safety protocols, punctuality of service, quality of materials, communication clarity from the center, and the overall management of projects could all contribute to this rating. The mention of 'On-site services' suggests that field experiences might be a major factor influencing these reviews. Potential clients or observers researching the center should consider this low average rating as a red flag, prompting further investigation into specific complaints or feedback trends mentioned in the reviews.

In conclusion, the APS Construction Services Center represents a physical and operational hub for a key Arizona utility focused on electrical infrastructure. Its location offers strategic advantages, and its commitment to accessibility is noted. The center's specialties are deeply rooted in the utility sector, encompassing a range of construction and service activities vital for energy delivery. While it offers on-site support and maintains an online presence, the documented low average rating on review platforms is a significant aspect to consider for anyone seeking to engage its services or evaluate its operational effectiveness. Further exploration of the specific feedback provided on the review platforms would be advisable for a comprehensive understanding of its service quality.

I wish there were a chance to give 0 stars. I scheduled my disconnection date 2 weeks ago. Then called back to have it changed as I am moving at another date now. The great representative changed my moving date (new connection) but left the disconnection the same. Now I got my power disconnected and after more than 2 hours waiting with 3 kids to have the power back on I got to put another phone call the 5 of the day because it’s still not on even though company claims it is. I turned the breakers on and off as instructed but nothing happens but the 4 representative was the best of them. She said the power was turned on in the apartments then after hearing my oh my God she claimed that I was disconnected because of lack of payment to which I answered I had never been disconnected in 6 years that I have lived in the state for lack of payment. Then requested a time to speak with someone and she just left me hanging in the call without ever coming back. So now the 5 representative put a work order to have them come and check whatever they messed up and it might take 3 more hours for them to come and get the issue resolved. Talk about being incompetent. UPDATE: I upgraded my score to 3 because thanks to Marissa. She wasn’t only great she found the notes that my disconnection shouldn’t have happened and got my power back immediately remotely, something none of the other representative did. Excellent service on her behalf. Everyone should have her knowledge in this company!

If it were possible to give a lower rating, they’d get a lower rating. Just a sham, monopoly company that charges unrealistic rates in a state that requires the use of air conditioning. Customer service is horrible and rude. You have ZERO options to take your business elsewhere and they know it. The bills we get from these crooks is one of the many reasons we’re moving out of this state. They need to rethink their strategy, your bill shouldn’t look like a mortgage payment. Extortionists and rip-off artists! You should feel ashamed for taking advantage of hardworking people.

This is the WORST company to deal with!! I feel sorry for anyone who has to call and ask for assistance. They don't care about your financial situation and they charge nothing but money for everything down to a door knocker. People already struggle and they just inflate your bill! What happened to the law in AZ were its mandatory to have AC? APS doesn't care if their is elderly, children in the home. People fall on hard times. Life happens and they work with no one!!! Like to know if their own employees ever get behind on their bill. I am sure APS steps in to help them!!

The APS representative arrived at my neighbor's home to discuss the removal of her saguaro cactus, that was hugging mine. I joined the conversation. It was my cactus that was touching the COX wire. He said he couldn't do anything about it but would put in a request anyway for both of us. He was here, 10926 W. Canterbury Dr., SUN City, AZ, 4/14/21, arriving within minutes of the time my neighbor called. He was polite, honest, and did what he could, sending in a request for APS to come out and review the cacti. COX was not the least bit helpful. Thank you for great customer service. Sorry, I don't remember his name.

I called aps after last week's storm. A mesquite had leaned into the power line to my home. Darren showed up to take care of the dangerous part. After taking care of the threat he had to leave to take care of other problems. He said he would return if he had time to cut more of the tree. Honestly I didn't think I would see him again. He had done his job. Sure enough the following day he came back. By the time he was done the entire tree was down. He didn't have to do that. He really had done his job the first visit. Darren was polite and went way above and beyond. The tree company was going to charge me $600 to remove the tree. Being on social security and being able to save that much is huge. Thank you Darren, you are truly a good man.

If I had a choice to switch companies I would. After almost 8 years of having service with them they required a deposit for making 2 late payments in a year. I have never been asked for one before and it was not a small deposit...it was $450. No warning....nothing. obviously if I had a hard time making payments it was for a reason and if I can't even make my regular payment how can I now pay $450 on top of that. Medical bills have made me have to pay late and they don't even work with you or wave the fee even if it's your first time having this happen. They can split it into 2 payment...come on. Like they don't make enough money off of their customers. Bad customer service and greedy company.

As I have been on hold twice now for longer then 45 minutes each, the customer service department is disgraceful. Also, I was promised a call back regarding my bill within the day. Well that never happened, so on hold yet again with an almost hour wait time. It's awful that you can't get a hold of someone, and that they don't follow through and call you back. I don't know that I have ever been on hold this long for something. It's absolutely ridiculous! It's sad they don't actually value their customers.
