This place is marketed as a “luxury apartment complex” but there is nothing “luxury” about this place. Community laundry spaces, old building with limited light fixtures in the units, and outdated appliances. The location is great in terms of restaurants and events that happen within the community and the proximity to the lake but don’t expect a luxury experience as it’s marketed compared with other luxury complexes.

Had a friend living there, wow… the worst place to rent. Here’s what I’ve both heard and seen firsthand:

-Pest problem (roaches, even after the dude swept up and cleaned surfaces daily!)

-Smells

-Fire alarms are an evening ritual (for a non-smoking building, they sure don’t care and college kids burn their pizzas too)

-The most orange tap water known to man next to Fanta

-Thin walls and rude neighbors management does nothing about whatsoever

-Building shakes when train goes by

-Broken elevators, unless you’re in their main building, because only model units matter, apparently

-Stupid high prices that rival new buildings with better layouts

-Laundry that’s almost $3 per load? Seriously? Can’t even offer in-unit and make us pay ridiculously for that privilege

-A waste of residents’ rent money on fancy coffee machines instead of fixing safety issues like broken locks, cracked sidewalks, and leaky gas stoves.

Stay away from Trinity as a property management company. I looked into their other locations, which include Chicago, Vernon Hills, and many other places. Don’t Arrive— leave!

Let these California-based greedy jerks figure out their own problems with overpriced real estate there, don’t let them milk you dry in Illinois!

My fiance and I are so happy we chose Arrive North Shore! The apartment is very nice, clean and has nice appliances and granite countertops, which are beautiful. I was happy to have a gas stove, too! The staff here is incredibly helpful and they take care of any problems immediately. The area around the apartment complex is a beautiful, walkable little town. We hardly ever get in our car unless it is to go to work. We love where we live!

Stayed at Arrive for about 8 months in the 634 building. It was a great experience. Clean, quiet, and the staff was incredibly nice and accommodating. The front office gets back to you in a reasonable manner and always wants to know if there is more they can do.

Maintenance is also fantastic, super friendly and timely. They also explain why something is not working properly and how to maintain it so it doesn’t happen again; not in an annoyed but an informative manner.

The apartments are quite spacious, insulated well, and carpeted. A downside is there is no in-unit washer and dryer. A laundry and dryer are located on each floor, though you have to pay $2.25 a load which can add up. I also consider that more expensive than most places, but I don’t believe the apartment complex sets that price.

There is an elevator, but it’s relatively small. Big enough for four people and we were able to squeeze a queen size mattress in there by folding it but not large enough for a three seat couch, for example. Although, at the end of the day, there is an elevator so I consider that a win. When you do need to move in larger items both staircases are pretty open so that makes hauling furniture up the stairs a bit better since there is more room to lift and tilt it.

There is a bike/storage room as well as an outdoor bike rack. There are no assigned parking spots and plenty of them.

Ruth in the leasing office has been top notch and knows all of us by name. She truly cares about all the tenants. Any time I have a weird request, she makes sure to find a way to make it happen. Additionally, Ben in maintenance is extremely on top of requests and gets any problem solved basically the same day. He also knows most tenants by name and hasn’t been here as long as Ruth so his reputation is great. All are superb, but Ben and Ruth have gone the extra mile.

I love living at the Arrive North Shore. My apartment and patio area are a great size, and the staff is awesome to work with and see daily. They even have complimentary coffee in the lobby. Rina and Ruth in the office greet you with a big smile and are always happy to help. The maintenance team even remembers you and your dogs names. Overall I've had a great experience living here!

Walls and floors between units are not concrete and are very thin. Our upstairs neighbors made lots of noise from stomping to dropping stuff to blasting music. Definitely get a top floor unit. The radiator at one of the units we lived in was loud at random times of the day. Price was very good. Milot and Ruth are good folks. The maintenance people were awesome. There were basically not maintenance issues. Basically no bugs. Right next to a train track but you get used to the train's noise. The roof is actually built pretty poorly so when there's strong wind, you can hear it creak pretty loudly. The website is pretty easy to use.
