The decision to move a loved one to a new living situation is emotionally very difficult for everyone involved. There was certainly a lot to work through for my family when Dad needed far more care than could be provided for him at home. However, making the very difficult decision to move Dad seemed easy compared to what came next. Navigating the complex world of senior living and its dizzying array of choices, regulations, care levels, and institutional reputations was OVERWHELMING. Thank goodness, our hospital recommended contacting Allison Green. Allison not only helped my siblings and I understand the process, the choices, the timelines, etc - she walked side-by-side with us through the whole roller coaster ride. At the beginning of the process, I thought of Allison as a consultant, by the end I thought of her as a guardian angel for my entire family, particularly Dad. Allison Green helped my wife and I find a senior residential community that met our needs and wishes. She listened carefully to our description of the features that we desired, and then provided multiple options in our preferred geographic area. Allison responded to our calls and emails in a timely fashion. She scheduled onsite visits for us. She then accompanied us on our visits. Without Allison's assistance, we would not be living in the senior community where we now reside. Allison is knowledgable, professional, personable, and very pleasant to work with. Allison is truly Amazing at what she does for her clients! I have had wonderful success with working with her. After my mom's passing she helped me find the perfect Independent living home for my dad. She really listens to her clients and takes the time to present solutions that are best for them. My family worked with Allison when searching for a memory care home for my mom. As you can imagine, it’s no easy process mentally, emotionally or financially and Allison took a great deal of that burden off our backs to help us find the best place for my mom. Allison was extremely patient, kind, caring and communicative throughout the whole process. She truly took her time with our family and made us feel seen and heard, especially during this difficult time. Allison even met us to do tour locations so we wouldn’t feel alone through the process and it was nice to have someone else on our side to ask questions or voice concerns when we felt like we couldn’t. Once we placed my mom, Allison even followed up with us to see how we were coping. As if this wasn’t enough, Allison even brought my mom some of her favorite nail polish to her new home knowing it was one of her favorite things…it’s the little things we pay attention to and leave us with long-lasting memories about this entire process. We can’t imagine going through this alone, and thankfully we didn’t have to.
