Staying at Autocamp Russian River was the most beautiful experience! My husband and I visited for our honeymoon, and the staff was so sweet and welcoming upon arrival and throughout our stay. The location is quiet and peaceful, and is centralized around the downtown area, beach, river, and hiking areas. We got the Redwood suite with the wood fired hot-tub and it was absolutely worth it. A great way to unwind after a long day of adventure. I want to shout out every staff member by name: Laurel greeted us upon check in, and even took the time to text me before arrival and offer to start the hot-tub in advance since it takes a couples hours to heat up. Todd was servicing our hot-tub throughout our stay and was amazing. He was very friendly and took the time to chat with us every time he came by. Blythe took the time to write us a card congratulating us on our marriage and even provided a couple of gifts (wine vouchers and bath soaks) She was super sweet and I loved chatting with her. And last but certainly not least, Jill helped us make sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay and helped us switch out some of our cooking utensils throughout our stay. She was also incredibly friendly and I enjoyed chatting with her while grabbing coffee in the morning. Our suite was quaint, but comfortable, and we loved having everything provided to us except food of course. It was easy to purchase firewood on site for the fire pit and super fun cooking over an open flame. If you are looking for a camping experience without all the hassle, this is a great option! We have nothing but good things to say about our stay and look forward to returning soon. This location is a gem with amazing staff!

This has become my new favorite place in the Bay Area!

Nice heated lounge and a small cute common area that has a fire pit.
Super fancy public bathrooms with 2 shower stalls.
Shiny airstream trailers that are very spacious inside.
The campsite gets quiet at 10pm. Everyone was pretty respectful and no one was playing loud music or talk/play outside past 10pm on a Saturday night.
You get to enjoy your own campfire. There is a fire pit, 2 chairs, and a dining table at each airstream site.
Good privacy with trees and bushes.
Other people passing by your site can see you if you sit outside of your trailer, but at least you won’t be seen by your neighbors.

The only downside is that you can’t really control how well you can sleep inside a trailer… not specific to this campsite but really any campsite. If it rains hard at night, which happened to us, then you would be kept awake all night from the loud raindrops on the rooftop.

Overall, this was a great weekend getaway not too far of a distance from the busy and boring South Bay! Very high end glamping experience. I must say that this place is smart and definitely targeting the right market which is the high income and exhausted Bay Area folks.

We have been to this particular location and other Autocamp locations previously so we were excited to take a quick getaway for Mother's Day. Arrived at the property a little after 3:30 and we understood was a little early for their 4PM check in, but were rudely informed we were early and our room was not ready. 4PM came and went, and the room continued to not be ready...it wasn't until almost 5 (4:53PM) to be exact that our room was ready. While waiting, our kids and other kids from other families also waiting for their rooms were belittled and made not feel welcomed by the staff (even though everyone was patiently waiting for the rooms). |From the grounds keeper constantly coming to the hammocks to check if the kids were swinging (while the parents were around supervising their own children), I saw them yell at a 2 year old toddler that was riding their little balance bike that no bikes are allowed on property. |But perhaps the worst was when my own toddler daughter couldn't find us on the other side of the lobby and started to cry on Monday morning and the older front desk lady instead of checking on her, started to scream at her for crying and telling her to keep quiet... Luckily, we were on the other side of the lobby getting coffee and were able to comfort our daughter. |For $400+ a night, we expected to relax and enjoy the grounds, and not feel like we were a burden to the hotel. Either make the property adult only, or adjust to having kids around. |Note: As a Hilton Gold, I am not sure why Hilton has partnered with them as getting points or any benefits they make you jump through hoops for it.

This has been one of my most memorable trips yet—a perfect holiday escape from SF. I stayed in the adorable Happier Camper, and everything was fantastic. The service was outstanding, with the staff being incredibly friendly and helpful. The complimentary granola, milk, hot cocoa and local wine tasting were a lovely touch. The shared bathroom is so clean and well maintained. The location is amazing, nestled in the redwoods, offering a peaceful and serene atmosphere that allows you to fully connect with nature. I would definitely return and highly recommend it!🌲🌲🌲

It is located in the middle of a town with gates surrounding the facility that you need a code to get into. IN MY OPINION the area is unsafe and not the picturesque serene hotel that it portrays online. The woman at the front desk is very confrontational, untrained, and aggressive. My family did not feel safe when arriving to the facility and voiced our concerns as we were traveling with young children.. she was immediately aggressive and rude. We chose to leave. The woman refused to take our keys and let us check out.. terrifying.. we just sat the keys down and walked away with her chasing after our family yelling at us.
Although they apologize and refunded us part of our stay for this incident, I feel the need to warn others- especially families traveling with children. We reached out multiple times to speak with a manager and were told every time he was on vacation and not talking to anyone.. which is a huge issue itself. An assistant manager finally reached out and offered partial refund and an apology. I could go into great detail about the things we saw and the way we were treated but I’m hoping my review is enough for someone to think twice about this stay.

We had an amazing time at AutoCamp's Russian River location! Every staff member we dealt with was beyond pleasant and helpful, almost like they actually enjoy their jobs! Imagine that!

The grounds and clubhouse are beautiful and welcoming. The fire pits are inviting. The accommodations are memorable and comfortable. We stayed in one of the Airstreams and it was roomy and modern. The heat worked well in the late winter season and kept things comfortable when the temps dipped.

This was our first time staying at an AutoCamp, but it definitely won't be our last. They just opened a location in the Sequoia area and we're already planning to visit in a few months!

The AutoCamp was like a curated forest, tastefully upgraded with the creature comforts of van life.
The clubhouse has 24 hours access, with large tables and a cozy indoor fire pit.
A large outdoor fire pit and multiple smaller fire pits provide ample choice for a cozy reading session with your favorite person.
The staff are wonderful and accommodating.

We stayed in the tent that came with a queen bed. Toilet is a little walk away at the club house. Good amenities but very cold at night and noisy depending on your neighbours. Kids should not be allowed to play soccer or frisbees while we are trying to cook our dinner. We had several near misses from stray balls and frisbees.
