I would avoid this dealership. I worked with Terry the Sales Manager for two days over the phone and finalized everything except the purchase. He was aware that I was travelling over 5 hours round trip to pick up this vehicle.
I asked him many times to go over the vehicle and let me know if there was any preexisting damage, so I wasnt surprised by anything when I get down there. Within in 10 seconds of seeing the vehicle there was everything from dents, to missing parts, remaining adhesive from after market parts being attached, bumper damage, paint chips, the list goes on and on. Had Terry been an honest trustworthy sales manager and gotten up from his desk and actually looked over the vehicle this all could have been avoided

Now, I'm not what you might call a "wheeler and dealer." I'm just an honest man with an honest paycheck, but I worked with Mr. Travis Ewert in sales and he was an absolute professional throughout the process. He was young, dressed professionally, he listened to our story, greeted us with a smile, treated us like family. and didn't even ask to come along when we requested to take two different vehicles for a short test drive. He explained that when you're at Barker, you're family.

Often, the hardest part of the vehicle sale is figuring out the extended warranty. Mr. Jake Detmers was an absolute professional and not at all pushy. I knew what I was buying and why it was important.

The kicker is, as soon as we got home, we reviewed the paperwork and said a little prayer and made the decision to go with the second vehicle we test drove! I texted Mr. Ewert the next day and we were able to get a new bill of sale written up right away. He did it all with no hassle and he responded quickly.

I'm proud to have Barker Chevy in our community. When the dealership succeeds, our community succeeds. I'm proud to be contributing to that. I will definitely be recommending this dealership to my friends and family.

Travis and Steve were very easy to talk to and negotiate with. There was no high pressure selling going on whatever. We drove from Peoria to see a vehicle they had and we wanted to trade in a car they weren't completely familiar with. That didn't stop them and we were able to agree on a deal. Travis was my sales guy and he never made me feel any pressure nor did he ever try to push unwanted services. Barker Chevrolet is a smaller dealer and a bit off the beaten path but it is well worth the drive for a great deal on your next vehicle.
