This place is amazing! I love going to this shop with friends and family. They have a great variety of drinks and new combinations by the month! The staff members are incredibly friendly and will help you if you can’t make up your mind (with all of the amazing drinks… it’s sometimes hard to choose). Besides the yummy drinks, they have delicious treats like bagels, cinnamon rolls, and more pastries from surrounding bakeries! They also provide a variety of seating and games, you can sit at tables, on a couch, sofas, or at the checkers table (which I dominate in). So if you’re wondering where to get that morning or afternoon coffee GO TO BE KNOWN!

Look no further for a local coffee shop!!! First off, coolest atmosphere of any coffee shop I’ve been too! Plenty of seating, even lots of little games to play. The coffee is amazing. I ordered the iced chocolate orange ball latte off their specialty menu and my husband got regular with oat milk & caramel. Mine tasted just like a chocolate orange ball. The staff is friendly and it is veteran owned and operated. Absolutely love this place!!!

I LOVE this beautiful place! It’s not only the cutest coffee shop ever, but has the best people ever! Every time I visit, I can always expect a warm welcome from the baristas and plenty of conversation. I have met so many amazing people from all over at this spot! And, of course, the drinks are delicious! They have a menu with anything you could want. My favorite are the Lotus drinks and frappes, but their lattes, cold brew, and matcha are also the best around! If you have no clue, the baristas are always quick to help! As the cherry on top, they have many tasty food and treats from all around Calabash and NMB. You have to come visit BeKnown!

My family and I had a great experience here! We were visiting from out of town and were trying to find a local coffee shop; we definitely picked the right one! The staff was welcoming (the owner even came out and talked with us), and the coffee was delicious. There was even an area our 1 year old son could walk around and play while we enjoyed coffee. We’ll be back next year!

What a gem! Amazing atmosphere and delicious coffee. Staff and owner are very nice and personable. Highly recommend the seasonal pumpkin spice latte. Nice selection of bakery items to add with your coffee. Will definitely come back again and again!

What a cozy, coastal gem of a caffeine stop, coffee shop! Exceptional service and coffee. With plenty of seating, it’s a great spot to pop in and meet a friend, catch up with a colleague, read your latest novel, or perhaps write a novel.

The barista seems to be very knowledgeable and has recommended some great hot coffee. I love to come and get something off of their current speciality list. It does not disappoint! Venture off from your normal Vanilla oat iced latte.

Be Known Coffee has the best coffee in the area. The owners Ron & Christy are so nice and truly care about their customers. Ron is very knowledgeable about coffee. The staff is very friendly and makes everyone feel welcome. They have a good selection of drinks and if you aren’t a coffee drinker they have tea, Frappuccino’s and lotus drinks. They have comfy spots to sit and relax and talk with friends or get some work done.

On vacation to the area, this was the only coffee shop I was able to find that makes a quality, well-brewed, cup of some single origin coffee options for someone who drinks their coffee black. Also, for someone avoiding sugar, it was refreshing to be able to get a speciality latte sweetened with honey and their sugar free house-made lavender syrup (brewed lavender sweetened with only honey). I noticed they also sold some jars of local honey too.

Very kind/helpful staff. Seemed like they had a lot of regulars coming to visit the shop just in the short time I was there. Like their t-shirts they sell say: “Support your local caffeine dealers”! 🙂
