BEWARE! I had an awful experience at Best Cleaners and want to warn anyone considering bringing their luxury items here—DON’T. I brought in a large order including three handbags and a pair of suede Birkenstock slides. Among them was my Louis Vuitton purse with vachetta leather. I was initially told that my items would take extra time because they were being “outsourced to a leather professional.”

I patiently waited two weeks to pick up my items, trusting they were in the hands of someone knowledgeable. Big mistake. When I got my items back, I was absolutely horrified. My Louis Vuitton was completely ruined—its vachetta leather was darkened, burnt-looking, and destroyed. My Birkenstocks were also discolored beyond repair.

When I reached out to discuss the damage, I was met with a dismissive, cold, and unapologetic response from the owner. She took zero responsibility and instead blamed the “age” of my items—as if high-quality materials suddenly burn and discolor on their own! What’s even worse is that their response completely contradicts what I was originally told. If my items were truly sent to a professional, why does the owner’s response sound like Best Cleaners handled them directly? Were they lying from the start?

To add to the horrible customer service, the owner never called me back despite my multiple attempts to get answers. I had to continuously reach out to her, only to be met with a rude, unprofessional attitude. And if you think this was a one-time bad experience, look at their other 1-star reviews. This isn’t the first time they’ve ruined someone’s items.

Pay close attention to how the owner responds to bad reviews. They act sweet and professional at first, but the moment there’s an issue, their attitude flips. Instead of taking accountability, they become hostile and defensive.

DO NOT trust Best Cleaners with your high-quality items. They lack the knowledge to properly clean luxury goods and will refuse to take responsibility for any damage they cause. Save yourself the frustration and go somewhere that actually knows what they’re doing.

If you’re looking for clothing alterations IN GENERAL look no further, Chris did an amazing job!

I came in with my navy blue work pants that were 2 inches too small in the waist and I couldn’t wear them comfortably. These pants are one of my favorite pieces in my closet and I was told by multiple people that it is too hard to make pants bigger. I had began to give up hope when I stumbled upon Chris Park’s store… I also came in with my Belgian military surplus pants that have always been my favorite but two inches too big in the waist. Long story short, Chris reassured me that she could make my navy pants bigger and my camo pants smaller, no big deal. I handed the pants over on Friday and got a text on Monday saying they were done (two days earlier than she originally estimated)! They came out amazing and fit me sooooo well now. She also did all of this work with a broken wrist, which is incredible and I am very grateful. I recommend Chris (Best Cleaners) for all clothing alteration needs.

The Alterations were $28 per each pant plus $6.50 for her to put in a new button slot on my navy pants. I think the price is very reasonable considering the quality of work and repair. She accepts Cash app, Zelle, cash money, and card(although there’s a 3% fee). She even lets you pay half or a third at the initial transaction and then the rest once your clothes are ready.

Plus Chris is a very kind and interesting person who is a joy to speak with. We spent probably 30 to 40 minutes talking about our lives and experiences with Jesus Christ. She also collects and sells houseplants too!

Overall, 5/5 stars and I would recommend Chris’ services to anyone !

Awesome experience for my first time visiting a tailor! The woman (unfortunately I didn't get her name) who helped me was absolutely amazing. She made me feel comfortable and clearly was an expert in her craft. My suits and shirts fit perfectly and are ready to go! THANK YOU!

Best Cleaners in Homewood il did the alterations on my daughter's wedding dress and it turned out amazing! 3 times lower the cost than the wedding boutique she got the dress from. They made pillows to match the curtains I bought for my family room. I highly recommend them.

The owner, Chris, goes above and beyond for her customers. She has done it for me a few times. There was one time that my vending leather massage recliner had been cut and had about an 18 inch slit on the arm. None of the upholstery shops would fix it. They wanted to replace the entire upholstery for $$$'s. Chris bonded a matching piece of leather that she got from her own leather jacket. She sacrificed her own jacket to satisfy a customer! I think Best Cleaners describes this business very well. Mike

I was pressed for time with getting my son's prom suit done. I drove 2 hrs to best cleaners because someone had told me they could get the job done. Not only did she do an amazing Job tailoring the suit to fit my son perfectly and pressing it to perfection, she got It done in 4 days! She is awesome and I will definitely be back.

A wonderful skilled seamstress at a great price! She is busy for a reason! Busy, but still got my 3 dresses done ahead of schedule by 3 days! Great work, and will definitely come to her again! She took in a dress for me, did a new hem and altered some straps on the third one!
