We had a great experience working with Better Earth Solar, specifically with Jacob Safier, on the installation of our above-ground solar panels and backup batteries. From the beginning, Jacob was helpful, knowledgeable, and genuinely focused on understanding our needs rather than pushing a sale. He answered all our questions with patience and clarity and kept in touch throughout the process.

While there were some delays due to our county’s permitting process (which is out of their control), the rest of the installation went smoothly. We live on a 4.5-acre property in a rural area, relying on well water and dealing with extreme summer heat. Before solar, our PG&E bills ranged from $400 to over $900 a month during peak summer. Since the solar system was installed in December, our transition has been smooth, and our PG&E bills have dropped to around $40 per month over the last two months (April and May).

I am incredibly disappointed with Better Earth Solar Panels. When my dad purchased their solar panels, he was assured that if he ever needed his roof replaced, they would remove and reinstall the panels for free. Recently, when my dad needed his roof replaced and called them to honor their promise, they completely went back on their word. They insisted on charging him thousands of dollars for a job they had promised to do for free.

This kind of dishonesty and lack of integrity is unacceptable. My dad, who can no longer work, saved up diligently to replace his roof, only to be blindsided by Better Earth’s refusal to honor their commitment. It’s clear that this company cares more about making money than keeping their promises to loyal customers.

I strongly advise anyone considering solar panels to steer clear of Better Earth. Their unethical business practices and lack of morals have left us feeling betrayed and financially strained. Please learn from our experience and choose a company that values honesty and customer service. Better Earth Solar Panels does not deserve your trust or your business.

My experience with Better Earth started back in 2022 but at that time I was not ready for the change and cost of taking on solar panels. I was very thrilled when Jacob and Stefano came back to my house 2 years later in January 2024. In the past I would have had to take out a loan to go solar but with the new options they had it made a lot more sense to me.

It took a little over a month to get the panels installed. My utility company has denied the solar application but better earth quickly made e adjustments needed to get it approved. They were very flexible with me on the pricing and creating a solution that worked for me.

The crew that came to my house was very professional, especially Andy and Jose. They didn’t subcontract any of the work and I could tell the guys knew what they were doing!

I’ve heard horror stories about people going solar and not have a good experience but Better Earth was the complete opposite. Every step of the way they kept me informed on what was going on and I could call anytime of the day and get a quick answer.

As someone who had been skeptical of solar for the longest time I can proudly say that I will tell everyone they must go solar and definitely with Better Earth!

Disappointed with Better Earth Solar
At the time of the sale, I was told by Better Earth Solar that if I ever needed to have my solar panels removed to replace my roof, it would be done free of charge. That was a big part of why I chose them. Now that I need my roof replaced, they’re trying to charge me a huge fee to remove the panels. This is not what was promised. I trusted their word, and now I feel misled. Be very careful and make sure you get everything in writing.

I selected Better Earth after comparing three highly rated installers, Better Earth stood out because of their competitive price, excellent customer rating and helpfulness of its sales person. I made my decision at the end of October because Better Earth is the only company can work efficient enough to complete the installation before end of year, so I can claim tax credit on my current year tax filing. I’m so glade I made this choice, my solar panels were installed on 12/14/2022, more than two weeks before what was promised. Hunter Gregory, my sales rep has been more than helpful to ensure I am satisfied with my experience, he was very responsive to all of my questions and requests, before and after I signed the contract. He actively coordinates with everyone involved to make sure nothing goes wrong, he went above and beyond to ensure that I’m happy with the process, it is clearly that Hunter genuinely wants all his customer happy in every category, even in area that’s outside of his responsibility. Hunter is still actively working closely to monitor the remaining process of final city inspection and SCE account activation. My experience with Better Earth has been very positive.

I had responded to a Facebook ad to inquire about solar energy and within hours had every solar company in a 50 mile radius call me to set up an appointment for a sales presentation. Don't do that. Anyways one of the companies was Better Earth; they sent Jacob to give the presentation. He was professional, clear and concise about how Better Earth does solar panel systems. The type of panels used, production capacity and thermal imaging to ensure the arrangement would completely cover our current electric usage. The financing options were fully explained and have been exactly as promised. I have only paid Duke the connection fee (cancel budget billing) and Better Earth the loan payment. The installation went very smoothly with a one day install that was professional without any problems. The system is operating exactly as detailed in the presentation. Jacob has ben completely transparent throughout the process and accessible for calls or text to address any issue with a solution or answer any question with an honest answer. I would recommend Better Earth for your solar project.
