The employees here are all very friendly and knowledgeable about their product. The Road in front of the store has been under construction for a long time. Don't let this scare you because the store still open and it is easy to enter and exit their parking lot even during the construction.

Went into the Big Tex in Homer Glen, Il. They had a 2023 Cargo Pro 7x16 Aluminum frame cargo trailer with 7ft height and a ramp door. It was exactly what I needed. The salesman Matt was incredible, I asked a lot of questions, and he had the answers. The best part was I saved about 2000 over the same trailer miles away. I would recommend Big Tex HG to anyone.

[Original review] Just bought a 16' car hauler. Our Ford Transit will be using it to pull along a Honda CR-V. Big Tex [...] Homer Glen was easy to reach, flexible in scheduling an appointment, and quick to answer all our questions. Very pleased!

[Around 2 weeks after purchase] I've edited my review from 5 stars to 3. We were told it's OK to drag the safety chains, and our safety cable and 7 way cable were both slung over the ball mount to prevent dragging. We forgot to check the cables before driving off a few days ago, and ended up ruining our 7 way cable - oops!

We went to a new location to replace the cable, and were quickly advised not to drag the safety chains, and shown how to easily twist them a bit to lift off the ground. Through the course of service, they also shortened our thin cable so it couldn't drag, and didn't have to sit over the ball mount. Also added hardware to hold the new 7 way cable off the ground. The damage was our fault, but these measures now seem obvious, and should be done up front to reduce user error like ours.

Worse yet, a short was also found, which popped a fuse in our vehicle and prevented the trailer tail lights from working. During investigation, a number of wiring mistakes were found, and the entire trailer ended up getting rewired. I'm not very happy with the quality of our original trailer now that I've talked to someone else. Ours could be a rare case, but I'd tread carefully buying from this location.

My experience with the team at Big Tex has totally been refreshing!! They are Super Helpful and Polite !! They have Great customer service!!! they make you feel like they truly are on you your side.. Now This is the way american business should be ran!!!
