My family has been coming to Bergstein’s for over a decade! They always have great specials. They customer service is great and the food was ready very quickly! My grandma said the corned beef was somewhat dry but still delicious. I loved the brisket sandwich!

I ordered the corned beef and pastrami sandwich. He asked if I wanted regular or large. I chose the regular. It came with Swiss cheese and my choice of veggies. I asked for onion and lettuce. It came with a pickle and choice of 1 side. I asked for the homemade chips and add a potato salad. They also carried my favorite pop. The bill was $17.50. They pile the meat in the middle of the normal sized rye bread, so when they cut it, it appears to be bountiful. However, at least 1/3 of the break had no meat on it. I wonder if I ordered the large at an additional cost, would the bread be covered with meat then🤔 The potato salad was bland and had no texture. I prefer some small chunks of potato and celery and/or onion to provide a little crunch. Their potato salad was pureed. I did not care for it at all. Overall, I was disappointed. A lot of money for basically 1/2 a sandwich, chips, mashed potato salad, and a pop. Never again

Grabbed corned beef sandwiches for st. paddy’s day yesterday and the sandwich was so good I had to stop and make review. Used to go here all the time at the prior location. The new location is in a cute space in downtown Homewood. Polite and friendly staff and amazing food for a good price.

This was our second time trying the place. We ate inside. The soup we received was not hot... not even warm, it was room temperature at best.

One of us ordered the saint patrick's day special, which was corned beef with cabbage and potatoes. All cold. Not one thing was hot.

When the kitchen staff puts soup up in the window for the server, the kitchen staff should know whether the soup is hot or not in the server. Likewise should be able to tell if she's serving hot or cold soup. It shows that there's no caring about the product they're giving you. I'm thinking there's little to no training at all for the people working there. But knowing soup is hot or not, is kind of just a common sense thing you don't need to go to training to find out if what you're serving is cot or cold.

It didn't take us long to remember that the first time we came here, we experienced a similar situation. We gave you the benefit of the doubt and said, maybe it was an off day and decided to come in again..... I don't think I could come back.

Really delicious matzo ball soup! Don’t miss it! Corned beef sandwich very nice on fresh rye. Split the sandwich with your best buddy and each of get a cup of soup. Our friends at the table today let us taste the cabbage soup… sweet and delish!! Highly recommend!!

I ordered to go. The dining area is very spacious and clean. Love the vibe of casual dining. The food was excellent (5 times over)!!! My husband and I enjoyed every bite. I had the reuben and he had the cornbeef and pastrami on white.

This Delicatessen is turning into a meeting place for the community. I saw people playing Mahjong and lots of neighbors greeting each other. the food is OK. I must say that the corn beef sandwich on rye bread was a little disappointing because the bread was thickly cut and wasn't in a good ratio to the amount of corn beef. To me, the matza ball soup seemed over salted, and the potato chips were under salted and not crisp. Other diners were happy with their selection.

The food was amazing and all of the staff were very friendly. Even though this was a soft opening, the menu was extensive. Every thing I ordered has multiple options. I will be coming back to try more items on the menu.
