My bill is $682 for this month. We haven't changed anything as far as heat. I can't understand why I am being charged a $44 costumer charge then $206 for a energy delivery charge, correct me if I'm wrong but isn't that what we are already being charged for. I absolutely hate having this company as my electric company. I really wish I could get Duke. This place is a joke. Everyone I know who has them has the same problem.

The service itself was fine, anytime I contacted customer service I had no issues like previous reviews had said. That being said in the 2 years I’ve lived under them the power has been down at least 10 times that I can think of for unknown reasons, some taking a full day to get back up. And all the other reviews talking about the price, believe them! I have a 1100 sq ft house and I have never seen a bill lower than 200$ a month. The highest I received was about 320$ during winter but that’s with me actively keeping my usage down. So if you can afford a spare 200 a month then no worries lol

Edit: After a year of being a customer they ninja enrolled me into their charity. While I'm not opposed to donating, obtaining my consent a year into the relationship prior to taking money from my bank account is a requirement. Non-consenually taking money and enrolling me into things is theft in my book no matter if it's a good cause or not.

Paid my Duke bill on time with autopay for the past 10 years but they want a $500 deposit, and my bills will be $45 higher for the same usage with their rates. This company alone makes me regret moving.

My review magically disappeared so lets give an update from 3 months ago: our bill now has steadily gone up $100 each month despite changing nothing in our electric habits. I am now sitting at $435 due at the end of this month for a very tiny apartment. Boone’s reasoning? It’s the customers fault yet they cannot explain this in a detailed breakdown of usage; weird. Coming from a giant house spending no more than $140 in the dead of winter or summer, I am inclined to believe this company is price gouging and/or deliberately charging more than what is being used. Hell, they might even be doubling/tripling peak hour rates without informing customers. All I know is this is the last time I willingly break the bank for a necessity that everyone deserves. I love capitalism but this is too much now. I highly encourage that anyone with this problem submits a complaint to the Indiana attorney general’s office via their website because this company absolutely deserves an investigation into its very interesting business habits.

Moved to Boone Co. from Delaware Co. and have spent one winter and now one summer in Boone. I have been thoroughly impressed with how well the county roads, power lines, and signage is maintained at least out in the county when compared to Delaware. I also asked for a light pole to be removed from my property which was done promptly. I very much enjoy their service so far.

My problem with REMC is there to expensive. They start out at $43.00 customer charge as Duke charges $10.50 for cust charge. I had Duke in Lafayette Indiana and my bill has double with REMC. Please Duke come to our area.

Although I love this neighborhood but I cat keep pay $200 and more monthly just for electricity!! My first month I paid $300!! It is ridiculous!!

magically my comment was deleted, the only thing this company does is steal money, I live alone, I work outside for 5 days and the bill is always 200 dollars and increasing, I went to the offices, and the one who attends with her only face of few friends I explain my situation and without finishing speaking he tells me: that is your bill and you have to pay it, last winter a bill of 600 dollars, and no one helps with anything, I tell him, I have a family member with 2 children and a husband and What they pay is less than 100 dollars a month, obviously not with this company that is dedicated to stealing from people, if I could change it, I would have done it a long time ago, they are useless, only to become millionaires on people's behalf. ..
