Oh my word, where to start. Imagine waking up at midnight to your infant screaming and when running to her crib, you find she is covered in black ants, biting her. The problem had been going on for a while in this new home and for a while we were able to keep ahead of it with Home defense sprays and Terro. They mostly kept to the front deck and carport, but this last weekend, they infiltrated the house with such determination, we couldn't keep up. They were going after ANYTHING, even dead bugs or spiders behind and under things. We concluded the problem was beyond our control. While shopping around for an exterminator, we could only find one company that could come out in a couple of days, (everyone else was booked up for 10 days or more.) They were also Approved and backed up by Google. They quoted us 200.00 for the first service and then 100 dollars for quarterly preventive treatments. We were so excited. FINALLY the reign of ant terror would end. So the much anticipated day arrives, only for the time they said they'd be present to come and go. When we called to find out what was going on, they claimed our appointment was made for 2 weeks out. We were floored! We demanded an explanation, and found out no only had the appointment been screwed up, but they had booked us with a branch 2.5 hours away! Flabergasted, angry, disappointed and DESPERATE, we started our search over. The first 2 places we called weren't taking new accounts. the 3rd didn't answer there for, but the 4th? oooohhhh, the 4th we called Califorinia Exterminators Alliance. When Alyssa answered the phone, she was cheerful and encouraging. I explained to her my nightmare situation and she was so very sympathetic. She advised me they were likely booked up for the rest of the week, but put me on a brief wait for a call back so she could speak with her supervisor. When she promptly called back, she informed me she had pulled some strings and they could come out the next day even though they were fully booked. I swear to you I cried some. The following day, we got the contract stuff all managed ( got to do it all online, which was AWESOME!) and Alyssa informed me Ramon would be by sometime during the day ( I cleared the day and stayed home to let his schedule be flexible since they were squeezing me in.) When he arrived, him and his assistant were so very professional, wearing their PPE appropriately. He explained to me what the protocol involved in putting bait inside the house then spraying outside. He came right in and got straight to work, asking me where problem areas had been and putting bait there. The ants INSTANTLY went for the bait, swarming it. HE even found a spot I'd over looked, going into my closet, ALL over half my clothes! EEEK!!! After he was done in the house, they combed the ENTIRE property and sprayed where all of the problem areas were and even found parts we had not noticed! (all of our trees were covered!) Before they left, he to expect to see a difference in a couple of days, and if the problem hadn't improved in 5, to call the office and he would come back out and do it again if needed. I just went outside (4 hours later) and my front deck is pretty much ant free!! I even forgot to put the cat food away! IN summery of my novel here, I cannot sing this companies praise enough. Even if this problem should persist, I feel so well taken care of and I am confident they will get us through this. Oh 2 more things: 1, They were 75.00 cheaper than what first the company (whom had let us down) quoted us, and 2 Both Ramon and his assistant were totally unphased by the state of my messy house! HAHA! The hugest of thank yous to Alyssa and her Supervisor, and to Ramon and his assistant!!
