My mother lived in her mobile home for 25 years but at 90 it was apparent that she could no longer live alone. Once she'd moved out we arranged for some updating to get the unit ready to sell. Somehow a slow water leak from the refrigerator line began and continued for months undetected since the unit was unoccupied. This created a significant mold problem. We hired a company that specializes in fixing these types of problems and eventually they informed us that we needed to hire a 3rd party to do the testing and certify that we were mold free. We contacted 4 companies and found a wide range of availability and pricing. Richard Gray (Certified-Environmental) was not only reasonably priced but in spite of being very busy, came out and tested on the same day.

That's when the problems began. We failed the first test. Richard explained that should happen because the contractor should ask for the tests until they're sure the property will pass. He told us that we should not have to pay for the failed test fees. He also told the contractor what they needed to do in order to get a successful test. Apparently they didn't and we failed a 2nd time. Finally the contractor got serious about addressing what was required and the 3rd time was a charm. In each instance Certified-Environmental got the testing done immediately with expedited test results. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again and would give the 5 stars.

If I was to do anything differently if, God forbid, I ever have a mold problem again, would be to call Certified-Environmental first. I'd happily
pay the test fee and get written recommendations to provide the contractor specific instructions on how to deal with the problem. (As I was told, there is a reason the industry has the saying, "Mold is Gold!"

I guess there is another thing I learned and that is if we'd shut off the water to the unit when nobody was there we could have saved a lot of money!!

I highly recommend Certified-Environmental. I have been referring the environmental testing services of Certified-Environmental to my customers since 2012. Richard Gray and his team are dependable and exceed expectations by providing environmental testing services, remediation instructions, project management, and corrective action plan based on independent air quality test results. The other environmental testing companies primarily only provide the raw test results without interpretation or corrective action plan. It is critical to have testing and certification of completion independent from the company performing the enviromental remediation work. Beware of remediation companies performing their own testing services, which presents a conflict of interest. I know Certified-Environmental will continue to meet and exceed their customer expectations as demonstrated to me over the past 4+ years.
