Great experience again working with Chicago HVAC Repair doctor. They have now replaced both my furnace and water heater. Not fun to spend on these things but has to be done. I highly recommend Chicago HVAC Repair Doctor. Our water heater recently broke and furnace was getting wet due to leaky pipes. Joshua and his team presented reasonable options to us on how to fix the issue, and the office team was on top of sending quote details and scheduling the service. One of the plumbing replacement items needed a special order, and I was regularly kept informed of its arrival status as it was delayed. The repair was scheduled for the very next day after the part came in, and Joshua returned and quickly fixed our issue. I've had my furnace, humidifier, and now water heater installed by Chicago HVAC Repair Doctor, and I've had a positive experience each time. Thank you!

*I appreciate the company reaching back out to me. I do not agree with their characterization of the events. In addition, calling their emergency line resulted in a phone call 24 hours later (during normal business hours).

Unfortunately, in our second time using HVAC Repair Dr., we had a very bad experience. They came to check the humidifier and told me it was working just fine which was great. They asked if I wanted a routine maintenance check and we said yes, since we haven't had one in awhile. The tech informed us that there was a crack in our heat exchanger and that we could have CO leak out. I told him we have a CO detector so I was not worried about that. He said he would give us a quote for a new heat exchanger and a new furnace system and I said fine. Here is the problem ---> he shut off power to our system even after I told him there is not a concern because of our detector. I only found this out AFTER our place stopped getting heated! I felt like this was a shady tactic used to try to get us to buy a new $8,000 furnace system. This is real shame - the technician from this visit and our previous visit were polite and competent, but doing something like this is unacceptable (and they're not returning my calls now)

HVAC Repair Doctor was an absolute dream to work with. We had issues keeping our basement warm and they came out promptly and presented us with various options and the costs associated with each. We decided to install a mini-split and they were able to come out a few days after the initial assessment to install.
We specifically worked with Rafael who was super knowledgable and gave his honest opinion on everything. The install itself was smooth and Rafael and his team were able to finish the job in a day.

Update. When they came, they did something wrong with our Aprilair. They came to "fix it" but now, it is not working.

Update. When they told us we needed to replace our furnace, they offered a warranty and stated they would reach out for regular maintenance. This has never been done.

I am attaching some pics to show the water damage, for which they had zero comment.

It is very concerning that my original review was removed. The overall experience was awful.
