Nothing but 5 stars for Cholla. The power of this beauty is something you have to see to believe. Standing like a beacon of hope and pride for all Americans to see. A must stop on our vacation, cannot wait to go back.

A desert gem, a vision grand,
Upon I-40, in no-man's land.
The Cholla Plant, a beauty bright,
Illuminating day and night.

With stacks so tall, they scrape the sky,
A monument for passersby.
No gift shop quaint, no scenic view,
Just power, pure and simple, true.
And as the fumes ascend on high,
A clear blue sky for us to buy!

Then just a hop, a skip, a jump,
You'll find a Love's, a welcome bump.
Where gas is cheap and coffee flows,
And all that clean air surely goes!

So if you seek a landmark keen,
The starkest sight you've ever seen,
Pull over, friend, and take a peek,
At Cholla's industrial mystique.

The hum of power, steady, sure. Electric dreams its veins procure. Once coal and fire fed the beast, now shifting tides bid fossil cease.

By Canyon's wind and painted sky, it watches decades drifting by. Steel and stone, a fleeting age, as progress turns another page.

Yet in the hush of night’s embrace, its glow still marks this rugged place, A beacon bright—a chapter closed, as earth reclaims what time imposed.

This industrial marvel and it's accompanying pollution-laden lake was a real highlight of our trip to the USA. Rising like a beacon of hope on our otherwise mundane road trip the sight of the smoke billowing from the impressive towers filled our hearts with glee. 5 stars

Was fortunate to see this beautiful American treasure burning her way through a rainy day. Rain, sleet, or snow the coal will always glow. Sometimes her force is hiding by the arid landscape but on this beautiful drizzly day the steam poured forth and gave us an understanding of what otherwise would be an incomprehensible amount of power being generated for this great state in this great land of ours.

Road tripping across the country. Skipped Grand Canyon, Lake Havasu, Santa Fe, etc. because I couldn’t wait to watch the sunrise at Cholla Power Plant. I love America. Praise be. Do yourself a favor and soak in the breathtaking view from Love’s gas station.
