They did a fantastic job with the alley! Looks great! 13 year old me, with his favorite skateboard, would feel like a kid on Christmas if he saw this smooth pavement! I might just kick the dust off and go for a ride for the fun of it!

We would spend hours back there, on that crummy rock filled alley, full of potholes, just skateboarding our years away. It delights me seeing this. Being in a band you have to load in equipment into the alley as well, this makes it all the more pleasant.

The company and their contractors were accommodating as well as timely in their work. What would I change? Perhaps a bit more attention to detail on the property side of things, making sure accidents don't happen or debris doesn't fall. Nevertheless, they were great in handling things.

Contractor Ed and his team were great to work with, and definitely deserve a raise! Great job here. It looks clean, stylish, and is a very smooth drive. I would definitely consider hiring this team/company for future projects!

Ironically, somewhat aside the point, I also do funny alley reviews on Tik Tok, I started when I saw the parking lot review lady do her funny videos. Imagine my glee when I saw this project finished. This was before they even did this in my alley. I will definitely give it, just like this review, a 5/5! 🌟

My experience with Christopher B. Burke Engineering on the Catalina water main project in Orland Park was extremely disappointing. As the lead engineering firm, they should have ensured a smooth and well-executed project. Instead, the entire process was plagued with issues that reflected a lack of professionalism and competence.

Firstly, the project was delayed by an additional two months due to significant geographical and infrastructure miscalculations. The engineers failed to properly map out the project area, resulting in multiple incorrect dig sites and the need to re-dig. This not only extended the project’s timeline but also caused unnecessary disruption and frustration for the residents.

The management of the work site was equally poor. Parking spaces were blocked off for months, filled with piles of dirt and equipment, even when there was no active work being done. This mismanagement of space made it difficult for residents to park and navigate the area.

Furthermore, the engineers and project managers did not maintain clear and consistent communication with the residents. They failed to provide adequate notice before accessing properties and making changes to the water meter, often arriving unannounced and causing inconvenience.

It’s apparent that Christopher B. Burke Engineering lacked the necessary oversight and attention to detail required for a project of this magnitude. Their inability to handle geographical and infrastructure challenges efficiently was a major disappointment. I would not recommend their services based on this experience.
