Never in my entire adult life have I dealt with an electric company who does not help with payment arrangements for families who are low income or in a bad situation financially. They do not care. They will charge you $150 extra if you are a minute late after the cut off date. This company needs to be a little more understanding and show more compassion, Especially to those customers who have ALWAYS been on time with payments except for a time or two when times were hard. Anyone in unincorporated Clinton County has no choice but to use their company and they use that to their advantage. Even Ameren, works with their customers, and they are also subpar to my standards.
They also will show up on your property early in the morning and cut your trees down If they are too close to power lines with NO CALL. NO WARNING.
Unprofessional business practices and extremely greedy. GIVE YOUR LONGEVITY CUSTOMERS SOME GRACE. WE ARE HUMAN AND WE ARE TRYING.

Clinton County Electric is proactive on replacing lines, poles, tree trimming and those have been very successful in keeping the lights “on” with very few outages.

This is about my friend who unfortunately has CCE he owed $111 by 6/27/23 he didn't receive a notice about shutting him off until the day before shut off which was for 7/10/23 so they shut him off 7/11 now it's supposed to be 97 degrees his food is all going bad, he has been sick. And to be shut off for $111 is so never heard of. These people could care less!
