I just completed my 2 day class to get certified for concealed carry license. The experience was wonderful. The class was informative and the instructors were patient, knowledgeable, resourceful, and expertly trained.
After completing this class, I feel more confident when handling a firearm and I am motivated to get more practice when handling a gun. I plan on taking more classes to be a more educated and informed firearm owner.

The class was so worth taking, the instructors were informative and experienced and stressed gun safety and Illinois law. I also made new friends. I was also able to identify problems with my aim, grip, safety, etc.

So I have been scared of guns my entire life. I have a lot of family in law enforcement and my husband and stepson are avid shooters and have many guns but they have always scared me. My husband got me to finally go to a range a few months back and I realized I had been scared of the unknown and not the gun. Obviously with that being my first time ever shooting and only a couple of months ago, I am still a tad unsure around guns and I need to get educated more. Well today was the first day of the 2 day concealed and carry class, that myself and my son, Corey, decided to do to begin learning. While I am overwhelmed with all the information I learned today, I am so grateful for Reggie and Pam!! They explained things in laymen terms and ensured to take the time to explain things over and over if needed and they want you to ask questions and want you to be involved so when you walk out that door, you feel confident. I felt confident enough that when I left the class today, I dragged my husband to the range and worked on shooting for 2 hours! In just this one class so far, I am feeling more comfortable and although I’m still learning and have a lot to learn, I would do any class that Reggie and Pam did ten times over as they are simply amazing! Update - we passed!!

Took the conceal carry class with Reggie/Pam Howard and I can tell you that they are very knowledgeable in firearms and firearms safety. I would recommend TRA to anyone trying to get trained in firearms!

Sergeant Thomas was incredibly informative and made the whole class time as painless as possible. Even as an experienced firearms owner I learned a lot and even had some of my shooting quirks adjusted. 10/10 would recommend TRA for any of your firearm education needs!

I completed my conceal carry class at TRA. The instructors are amazing!!! They're very knowledgeable, attentive, helpful and organized. I strongly recommend them for your conceal carry classes. As a beginner, I left the class feeling confident and inspired to learn more. Plus, on top of learning, you get a very cool backpack 😎 T. R.A. is the best!!

Pam and Reggie are great instructors. Classroom atmosphere is relaxing. They are happy to answer any questions and make sure you understand. They stress safety which is upmost importance. Highly recommend for everyone.
