Cooperstown was engaged to do a 21(e) report in connection with lender financing for a 40 unit apartment building development project. They worked quickly and identified initial areas of concern which led to them undertaking many tasks both before the closing and during construction including a full design and install of a vapor mitigation system. We reached out to Cooperstown upon learning that DEP records had our property listed for an issue that we thought we resolved decades ago! Reeling from the news we contacted Cooperstown after looking over every review we could find online about the firm. Fortunately, Jim answered the phone that day and we were immediately put at ease. We appreciated that no “false promises” were given, but that they would do their best. As it turns out our filing was due to an old glitch in the DEP system. Given the age of the situation, Jim advised that we proceed with a full environmental study. Jeanne Westervelt headed the project and she was outstanding. She researched our complicated history and carried out the work in a highly professional manner, always keeping us informed.
