A great place to just sit and... There are times when the square is packed with people and activities. The weather here is warm and sunny for many days of the year. Soak in the Sun, the Architecture, the noise of the crowds, the water fountain? Great place with meet up with friends and family.

We visited this place on August 5th, 2023 in the evening. On this day it was not much busy as there were no programs scheduled but the place looked quite nice and seemed just right to have some small gatherings

Oktoberfest 2024! What fun and my first time here. I’ve been to the one in Munich and - while RWC is much smaller - it had a great authentic German feel, food and beer! The band was great and everyone had a great time.

Beautiful plaza, near to the Redwood City Caltrain station. Good reading options around.

One of the coolest spots ever developed by a city to have entertainment and events. Movies, Friday Night Concerts and Festivals make this the center of community in Redwood City

I went in late June for the free movie on the square, which was shown on a massive TV screen with surround sound.

The city blocked cars off the street for the movie viewing event, which started around 6-6:30. I went for the second feature movie, which starts at 8:30. I parked at the underground garage under the movie theatre, which had plenty of parking spots when I arrived shortly before the movie started.

The movie was great, though a bit distracting as some people does not care if your view is obstructed as they walk slowly in front of you. Lots of food smells as many attendees bought food from surrounding restaurants, which made me quite hungry as well.

There were plenty of chairs for folxs to sit while they enjoy the movie, though 90% of attendees brought their own chairs/blankets, as did I. Someone brought an air mattress, and that looked cozy AF.

All in all, it was a good movie experience. The city did well with the planning, most people are considerate, great parking that's low cost just around the corner, lots of food options near by or you can pack your own picnic.

We had a lovely and respectful TransACTION Day of Change, a call to action for our communities to end violence against transgendered peoples.
