It’s been several months since this company was at my house. Not only did they destroy my front yard and leave it that way, they also created a major water leak in my basement that clearly has oil coming through. I’m still getting the run around because they underbid the job from the insurance company, but that is not my problem. A job was paid handsomely from the insurance company, and curren skipped out on the job. DO NOT USE!

I can't say enough about Curren Environmental, Inc. They are very professional, great communication and very knowledgeable. They communicated what to expect up front, they came in and got the job done in one day. The quality of work was great. I was expecting a lot worse. Thanks Gina and crew, Great job!

When we purchased our house we knew at some point we would remove the oil tank, however, we were pretty nervous as we've heard horror stories. We did extensive research and finally settled on Curren. We are so glad we did. First, speaking with Perry who is incredibly knowledgeable, he walked us through the whole process and what we could expect. The day came, and it could not have gone smoother. The crew and project manger were very friendly (even though i asked 1001 questions); the work was done quickly and efficiently. And they left our property in the best condition that they could. A few days later our PM, Gina, contacted us to let us know that there was no soil contamination and no further action was required. To say the least, we were pretty relieved. Their pricing is good, they are honest and efficient. I highly recommend Curren to anyone in a similar situation.

My husband and I were in the process of selling our first home when the buyers' inspector discovered an underground oil tank. Throughout the process of removing the tank, Curren was easy to work with, efficient, and knowledgeable. Gina, our project manager, answered our many questions and helped us move everything along as quickly as possible so that we could close on our home sale. While I sincerely hope I never need another oil tank removed, I would definitely go to Curren if I did!

we reached out to Curren to remove an oil tank on a house we were about to purchase. There was enough time for all of this to be completed before we moved in, but we are still dealing with them 2 weeks later. They were nice and great initially but turned out to be a nightmare. The previous owners had billing issues as they were taking care of this as part of our inspection process. Curren said they didn’t pay and they did. Curren spoke about one service then after the removal of the tank they tried to charge for removal of sand in addition to NOT putting back our fence. After back and forth and several witness of what they initially said they were going to do vs what they tried to bill us extra for they came to remove the tank and some what complete the project. They refused to put our fence back which they took out to start this service. And I guess for professionalism, they decided to destroy our front lawn while removing the tank. They started out great but 1 star for customer service and professionalism, borderline scammers. Do not use! absolute disgrace

We went under contract on a home with an oil tank. When we toured the home we didn't notice anything. During our inspection the house had been closed up and there was an oil smell permeating throughout the home. The day we closed I called Curren, explained that there was an issue with the tank and we needed out asap. I spoke with Tiffany, who was extremely patient and helpful as I pushed to expedite the process. After putting the deposit down I heard from Gina who was our project coordinator. Given the urgency, she was fast to get us scheduled and today (approximately two weeks after close) the tank was removed! The service was extremely fast, cost effective and the guys did their best to not make a mess. I was skeptical based on some of the reviews but at the end of the day I'm extremely satisfied and I would 100% recommend Curren to anyone looking to get a indoor tank removed. Thank you Curren, Tiffany and Gina.

We used Curren Environmental to remove a heating oil tank which had been empty for 25+ years at my parents' house. Curren called to schedule a date for the tank removal which conflicted with my schedule. I expressed to them that I definitely wanted to be there to watch a process which may lead to costing us thousands of dollars. Curren said that they would call me back when they had an opening to reschedule. The next contact that I had with Curren was a few weeks later from the engineer. She stated in so many words "We removed the tank yesterday and found contamination". I was very upset that after specifically stating that I wanted to watch the work being done, they went to our property, which was vacant at the time, without notifying me. I wanted to see the steps involved and have them explained to me. The engineer stated that she had send me an email indicating the date of tank removal. I had been receiving all of her emails up until this point, and no, I did not find her email in a spam or junk folder, as she suggested. She said that because I did not respond to the email, she assumed that the date was ok. I asked her for a copy of that email from her Sent folder, and it was never produced.
So we suffered through the remediation process, having the whole backyard ripped up and tons of soil brought in, costing, yes, thousands of dollars. The whole time, Curren placated me saying, don't worry, you can apply to the state for a grant which will pay for most of the work. After waiting 3 years, our application to the state of NJ finally was considered. What Curren did not tell us was that the criteria for receiving any money is very strict. Only if the liabilities of the estate exceeded its assets, would you be considered for any amount of reimbursement. So because we kept the estate debt-free, the meager amount that we received from the sale of the house was considered an asset, therefore rendering us ineligible for any payment.
So needless to say, this company failed when it came to earning my trust, and for that reason I would NOT recommend them to anyone.

We used Curren for a tank removal before selling my house and they were awesome! Gina was our project manager and she was easily accessible and talked me through the whole process while it was going on. The results were quick and they kept me informed throughout the whole process. We are using them for a tank sweep on our new house as well and they were so easy to schedule!
