DO NOT BUY THESE! READ THIS ENTIRE REVIEW! These air conditioners cool well, HOWEVER, the reason for all of the issues is the circuit board that is behind the control panel is in an unsealed, poorly made plastic case that allows condensation to accumulate and that obviously corrodes the heck out of everything inside. Furthermore, if they would simply have a place to buy parts for this Chinese junk (which they don’t) it would maybe take a little of the pain away from buying a brand new a/c unit that only lasts a year. Most people don’t realize how cheap circuit boards are to make, I do, and it’s infuriating that they can’t just offer a cheap, simple solution on an easy to navigate website. This could be a 15 min fix for an average home owner and they could easily avoid all of the 1 star reviews by supplying a free kit with instructions to remedy the issue. Only two of our buttons work and we have to use the remote to change the settings, the lights don’t work so you have to guess what settings you’re on which is difficult because the cool function rarely works now. Denali Aire needs to supply new circuit boards free of charge as well as a SEALED box to house the thing! There’s absolutely no way they aren’t fully aware of this issue, I’m no genius but I knew as soon as I took the cover off what the problem was going to be and sure enough I opened up the case and there was moisture resting in the bottom! What a joke!

I already scraped a majority of the corrosion off of the board before taking these pictures but it’s still very evident that this is the obvious cause. Now I’m probably just going to have to re-wire this thing with some more simple and reliable switches since I can’t bring myself to throwing away a 1 year old appliance… I can’t believe it is even legal to sell something that is so poorly made, unless you get excited about fixing new appliances, I would avoid these.

My new window air conditioner saved me from my whole house heat! My three year old central air unit went out for the FOURTH time in three years! While i waited over the ten days in 90 plus degree days, i went out and bought this window air conditioner. My bedrooms upstairs were nice and cool. Otherwise my house upstairs would have been over 90 degrees!

(edit) I did receive a replacement. I also have received a followup phone call. I have yet to replace the unit due to being winter and camper is currently winterized. Will install in spring. I've updated to 3 stars due to having the inital issues with customer support. Since then, I have been pleased with the service. Hopefully this was a one off instance and hopefully if future communication with customer support is needed it is handled better. Appreciate stepping up and making this right. Price of an item shouldn't determine the decision to make a future purchase, it's the after sell experience that makes or breaks futher buisness...

Do Not Purchase anything from Denali Aire. I purchased a new ac with my camper. It died within a few weeks. I submited everything they have asked for. They will not return my emails after the first few when asked for my documents and diagnosing I have done. Very poor quality and very poor customer service with warranty. Junk

Really like this mini-split A/C and Heat unit. Cools our Master Suite down in no time. It is very quiet. Would have been 5 stars but the remote is not very intuitive.

Bought two nice window air conditioners this past summer. When I took them out for the fall, one of the parts broke on one of them. I contacted the company and they promptly shipped me out a replacement part at no extra charge. I was very pleased.

Our Denali Aire has been the best investment we have ever made. It heats and cools our 630 square foot cottage perfectly. It is the most quiet appliance we own.

I purchased 2 Denali 12000 BTU Window units and both quit cooling. Paid cash and sent warranty card w/numbers. This company and products are bogus and don't stand behind there product. Doesn't deserve 1 star. Don't buy.

I have a new one, just installed, now the rest of the story - this is the third one. First one died first week of the warm season of the second year, replaced by 2 year warranty, second one died first week of second year - guess what, this not covered by the first warranty and doesn't have it's own warranty even though it died in the same period of time. So it is safe to assume you will have to re-buy every two years due to what appears to be a built in mortality period. In Michigan, that is about after 6 months of use per unit, in Michigan that's about two years, wow look, the same as the warranty period... that's odd....

Update: per your request a installed photo has been attached. As for storage, it is removed from the window well before the first frost, wrapped in storage foam, put into a box and stored upright in a climate controlled room till the day comes to reinstall. It is always in the same window, always the same outlet is used. The last three air conditioners have stopped working due to what appears to be the pump seizing, Please let me know what you find. - Thank you - Andy P.S.
