We received a notice of violation from the Illinois Fire Marshal to remove our tanks that have been out of service for a few years. We didn’t like the idea of spending $100,000 on removal and clean-up but, we didn’t have a choice. Luckily we were referred to Eagle Environmental Consultants and they work with the Illinois leaking underground storage tank fund. The fund reimburses owner/operators of leaking USTs and we were able to save ourselves over $100,000 because of the guys at Eagle. They handled the entire process from tank removal to contaminated soil/water removal and are currently working on securing a "no further remediation" letter for us. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who gets a violation from the fire marshal and needs to remove their tanks.
