Very expensive place to live. 555 West Middlefield Rd, Mountain View. The apartments are old and outdated with very little upkeep. ALSO, most important there are NO surveillance cameras on the buildings. Peoples cars are broken into DAILY and balconies robbed on a daily basis. Both have happened to me! Police told us with NO Surveillance, we can just take a report. As much as they charge for rent, why would they not put surveillance cameras to detour the thieves and keep their tenants safe? So many are moving out for this reason! Do not rent from these people!

I have been living in this apartment community for 2+ years now and I have never felt more at home. The staff here are all so friendly and helpful, and they truly care about the residents.

I would like to give a special shout-out to Mae in the front office. From the first day I took a tour she has always been so welcoming and helpful. She is a true asset to this community.

I would also like to thank all the maintenance techs, and specifically Jose, Hector, and Jamal. They are always quick to respond to maintenance requests and they always do a great job. When the lock on my door malfunctioned they had me back in my apartment, with a new lock within an hour. They are also all very friendly and personable, and they are always a pleasure to see around the community.

I highly recommend this apartment community to anyone looking for a great place to live.

I have been living at the Eaves at Mountain View on Middlefied for about 4 years. I have never lived in any shared housing facility where the apartment workforce, in this case Mae, Alexa, the maintenance supervisor and maintenance persons assigned to my building, treat you like family. Whenever I have a complex situation, the staff addresses the concern with comprehensive problem-solving, utilizing all of the appropriate resources to find efficient and effective solutions to my concerns. I work in a profession where exemplary customer service is paramount to the profession's mission. I can say that customer services at the Eaves in Mountain View on Middlefield is top-notch. I want to thank the staff for providing me with a domicile that is safe, comfortable, peaceful, and so convenient.

I currently live at Eaves Middlefield in Mountain View. For the time being, Mae and Remy and the maintenance staff have been super helpful and friendly. The property is very clean and well maintained throughout. My favorite part of eaves is the gym, jacuzzi and the open spaces with plenty of grass to walk your doggies. Overall Im very satisfied living here and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a new place.

The first ever one star review I’ve given in my life. Terrible place to live
- There’s a $5 daily fee for each package you haven’t picked up for 3 days. This is extremely inconvenient especially if you have no family in the area and if the packages themselves are less than $5. No leeway in this even when I contacted management. If you plan to go on work trips or vacations, this will probably not be a good place for you.
- While we're on the subject of being gone for days... try running your water after you get back from work travel or vacation. The pipes and buildings are extremely old. The water runs BROWN. I will post a video of this as soon as I get the chance. We're in one of the wealthier zip codes in the entire world but the place doesn't even have clean drinking water! The only way to make this drinkable is going through a filter then processing the water through reverse osmosis.
- There’s no security gate or anything preventing random strangers from coming into the complex, the place is open to anyone. Random people there all the time. Anything on your patio will get stolen including my bike that was locked and covered. Sometimes when amazon lockers are full, delivery drops things off in front of your door. There's been several instances where alot of my packages have gone missing. When you ask management for any help; they'll just ask if you've filed a useless police report that doesn't have any actionable items. The place is literally located in the heart of silicon valley but has no electronics or software to monitor anything other than the leasing office.
- Theres a silverfish infestation. I find these randomly throughout the apartment unit very often. Finding spiders used to be pretty common but not as much anymore.
- My worst experience with them....My apartment flooded one time. It was disgusting. People's sewage and waste literally backed up all the way into my living area. I will attach photos - take a look for yourself. They only reimbursed me fully for the hotel when I started complaining that it was over the standard amount they’d pay for a night. They cleaned my room but in the process, they ended up throwing away an $800 pair of retainers and multiple items (these items weren’t even part of the flood damages!!) which ended up in a few thousand dollars in damages. As an inconvenience, they only gave me $350 and upped it to a “generous” $490. After I complained, the lady from the office basically implied “we didn’t cover the entire damage amount for you, but that’s what insurance is for” even though insurance doesn’t cover apartment personnel throwing away your personal things. Not only was this extremely inconvenient for me, but I came out of this incident losing money and a bunch of time.

Do yourself a favor and stay clear of this place. It’s extremely dreadful living here. Like I said, this is the first ever 1 star review I left on any business in my entire life (and I rarely rate things even below 5 stars!). I will be leaving soon.

I've lived here for a few years in a 1B1B apartment, and here's what I thought:

Overall, 4/5. First, amenities are abundant (but they don't work all the time) and very friendly staff! Hector has been doing a great job keeping the apartment in working condition, and other staffs are very warm and welcome too. Special shout out to Mae, she's fantastic, energetic, understanding, welcoming and helpful - any community will be lucky to have her.

But, the property is pretty old, so expect things to break down frequently even if you are being careful.

Some specifics:
- The appliances are pretty old
- There's a scheduled lawn maintenance every Wednesday which creates some noise, so be aware if you are working at home that day. Other than that it's nice to maintain the lawns.
- The bathtub overflow isn't working
- The fake tiles in the bathroom look dirty but they just look like that 🙂

In conclusion, I'd say this is a nice place to live if you are okay with less modern appliances.

If it's one thing I learned about finding a place to live in my years of renting... it's read the Google Reviews BEFORE you move in... and I'm glad I did for this life chapter of where I live.

My experience so far has been above and beyond thanks to the down to earth leasing team who actually WANT you to have a great experience prior to moving in AND after - the latter part being non-existent from my prior renting experiences.

The maintenance team is top notch (You'll meet "The Hectors" as early as your first day!) and Eaves at MTV deliver everything they set out to do which is a high value living situation. The buildings are NOT new - and you'll definitely want a renovated unit. I saw the "classic packages" and even though it was exponentially cheaper... I couldn't allow myself to resent where I woke up every day just to save a few bucks and am glad I made the upgrade. The only gripe is that you'll probably want to look up on Amazon "Shower heads that increase water pressure".

The grounds are great and meet the brand at high value. Tennis courts are run by an awesome guy named Francisco. The community feels safe and everyone I've met so far has been great and fills the "working professional" label - which also speaks to the lack of decor you'll see on balconies - but hopefully I'll help change that trend.

Their are vagrants that pass through the grounds but coming from Oakland... they are harmless and just passing through and have not been known to cause property crime – but you'll probably be picking up community trash on the common grounds out of your own sanity and pride for where you live.

All in all... I highly recommend this community as a place to live - based on the value, above and beyond support from the day to day teams here, sense of security, proximity to work, a great pool and hot tub, a utilized tennis and basketball court area and friendly community. The only thing I'd like see be built is a bike cage as the only options are to keep it on your balcony or out at regular ol' public bike rack.
