Chris is a one man operation. He has no “office manager” besides a girlfriend despite what he tells people in these comments or over the phone. Had I known this I probably would’ve hired a different company to perform my install. Long story short, I paid Chris $17,000 to install two new units to my house only because it was becoming too costly to repair the older units. The install seemed to have gone smooth but for some reason the larger unit was dripping out of the emergency drain. Chris made one or two trips over telling us the drains were clogged and that’s why. Even after “clearing the lines” it still freely flowed out the emergency drain. I wasn’t buying his reasoning. Just after the one year mark where the warranty ran out, tragedy struck. My wife was in the kitchen and water was dripping out of a recessed lighting unit. She ran to the attic to find the large drip pan under the newly installed unit was overflowing onto our ceiling and lighting. She quickly drained the pan with a wet/dry vac. I called Eco immediately and left a message to have my call returned the next day. Chris never called back. I called and eventually he come out the day after and told us the reason the pan was leaking was because the house was built wrong and the attic structure wasn’t level. He said we would need a pump to keep the water out of the pan. I called BS and let him leave. I then called a local AC installer with a good reputation. They arrived the same day and fixed the drain line that Chris apparently put in incorrectly as well as wired in a plunger and micro switch to the over flow pan that would deactivate the AC if the pan comes close to overflowing. It has been several months and the pan has been dry ever since. Now I’ve got to pay $xxxx.xx to have my ceiling repaired due to a faulty installation. If you want an AC install done correctly, go elsewhere. Im half tempted to take Eco to court to have him pay for the damages.

Oohh… and this was after Chris cursed my wife and I out on the phone for simply trying to contact someone about the new system failing about a month or two after installation. That’s how I found out he is a one man operation and his “girlfriend” who normally answers the phone was out sick.

Stay away from this guy.

Update from earlier: today had another company come out to inspect and was told did not need a drip pan which Eco was claiming needed changed out at a cost of $575. Ac has been fix. Thanks for trying to rip me off and being unprofessional. Will not be using Eco in the future and will not recommend them to anyone.

2 appt made to replace drip pan. No answer the day of 1st appts. Got call next day they haven't received on truck yet they rescheduled. Still waiting on drip pan replacement called no answer. Appt was Tuesday still no reply. Without Ac for 3weeks now. Giving until tomorrow then calling another company. This is bad business practice leaving customer out of loop on what is going on. Side note: when the technician installed the unit he glued the drain pipe to the unit and asked him why he was gluing it he said to make sure it is secure. But same guy comes out and said someone glued it and that he didn't. And started arguing with my wife about it. Regardless if they fix or don't will not be using them in the future. Advise stay away from this company. I'm trying to give them a chance, but will see what happens.

Their prices are good and the service is good if they arrive for the service. Purchased a service plan earlier this year for 2 routine checks on our unit. First appointment was fine. Second one, I made the appointment and tech was a no call/ no show.
I later called to find out what happened and was told was told they supposedly called. So made a second appointment and same thing, no call no show. Went by their off twice and no one was available. Currently switched to another company.

I usually do not write a review unless it is a positive one but I have decided to write this review in hopes of being able to warn others about this terrible company. Just to begin explaining my experience, the staff has treated my family and I with the upmost disrespect. The word “unprofessional” does not even begin to cover my experience with them. I decided to use this company to replace my unit about two years ago. The first unit that was placed did not cool my house at all. I made many calls to express my concerns and I was constantly told that “the unit was big enough to handle the house size.” Finally, the technician came and changed the unit but during the service, I was spoken to very disrespectfully. For the past two years, I have had issues with my bedrooms being very cold despite the “heat” being on. Fast forward to now, I made another service call. The same technician arrived. I expressed my concerns that the house (mainly the bedrooms) felt very cold and especially at night (unless the thermostat was kept on “heat” at 77)… His response to me was, “Well, then just keep the thermostat at 77, lady.” He stated this in front of my elderly Mother, whom is in her 80’s. My Mother asked, “Why is he speaking to you in that manner?” Using his own terms, I am a “lady” that has lived in five other states (including Northern states where the winters were brutal). I made him aware that I have never had to “keep the thermostat at 77” in any other state. Instead, I have been able to comfortably keep the house between 72-73 degrees in the winter. I made a call to his boss to express my concerns and to discuss with him the way I was spoken to and treated. I was met with the same anger and defensive attitude from his boss. He yelled at me the entire phone call and stated that I “just wanted to work them like a slave.” I explained to him that all I wanted to do was to find out why my bedrooms felt very cold despite the “heat” being on. I stated to him that even if the issue was not the unit itself, I wanted assistance as their paying customer to find out what the issue could be. I ended up having another company come to check the unit today and within just a few minutes, the company was able to locate the problem for me. Now, thanks to the other company, my home feels so comfortable for the first time in two years. I am a healthcare professional that has always taken pride in my work. I personally would never imagine speaking to a customer the way I was spoken to by the staff in this company. PLEASE use this review as a warning to spend your time and money elsewhere. It truly has been a nightmare being their customer since the moment that I decided to use them. Zero out of five stars. Moving forward, I will only be using the company that fixed the issue for me today.

On Memorial Day, our air was not cooling well. Chris was out to the house in shirt order. He found the system was freezing up due to it being low on freon. the system is 23 years old and had developed a small leak. Chris and I spoke at length about replacement units. He is very knowledgeable and did not try to sell me things I didn't need. Over the next couple of weeks they were great about answering questions. We scheduled a time for replacement of the unit including duct cleaning, an ionizer and new thermostat. Chris and Jeremy arrived on time. They were both professional and courteous answering my questions along the way and keeping the work area clean. As they were able to recover freon they just pit in two weeks prior it helped lower the installation cost as additional freon was not needed. I'm very happy with the service and products and will likely have them do the twice per year maintenance on the system. Great job - Thank you!

After reading such awesome reviews about Eco heating and cooling, I gave them a call around 6:15AM. They called back promptly and said they would be here before 9. Well they were here about 8, and within 5 minutes they had my air working. They even gave me an estimate on a new system since mine was over 20 yrs old. It was very reasonable. Please if you have any air conditioning or heating problems do not hesitate to give them a call. Fast, friendly, knowledgeable, and reasonable. Hey, Chris thanks for a job well done.
