This company is the best! I have only been without power maybe a few hours since 2013! The price is very Reasonable too! After seeing my friends who have Ameren and SI power company that are frequently without power, I am so thrilled to have Egyptian Electric!

What the hell 😳 My family is paying 300 a month for electricity, how is that possible I pay 218 a month for a car payment, it's more than having a car on the driveway? I pay 550 in rent so it's more than half of rent now too? How is it possible that anyone can afford this without working 40+ hours a week plus grocery and other essentials throughout the month? How is it over 300 dollars to keep my family cool and you know we need it so we're forced to starve or not get cloths we need to pay these extremely uncalled for prices? I know markets fluctuate and all the mumbo but you cannot tell me 300 a month from every household is what you need to turn a profit! You are starving the local community and keeping us from reaching our financial goals while you skyrocket yours. Maybe this community could get the things it needs if every hard working citizen wasn't getting there banks broken by this monopoly. This is outrageous and I know I'm just one person I know I could work harder as most of you will probably think but that shouldn't always be the answer to why you are charging so much from the people keeping you in business.

I left a critical review here years ago but Egyptian has really stepped it up.

Firstly they're deeply involved with the community. They offer jobs, education, and help out organizations in the area.

Second, ever since Ameren has been hiking up prices and taking advantage of everyone, Egyptian has held as tight as they can with rates and seem more reasonable when you look at them comparatively.

Thirdly, the service has vastly improved. Outages are down to one or two a year and they hold good in tough weather. Even better, they are better about providing updates to their customers about outages and issues in the area.

Fourth, their app makes payment, usage information, tracking tickets, and other services very convenient.

I don't have any real complaints right now. They're doing a great job and are really involved with their customers.

The person responsible for households going solar is completely irresponsible and lacks proper business etiquette and customer service.
We were put off by Egyptian Electric for 3 months, (summer months) after our solar panels were installed, before they finally came out and changed our meter.
We Lost all that energy storage and we were charged for their electric.
Not a happy customer.

I have been a customer of Egyptian Electric since 1988. Throughout the many years, I have NO complaints. The prices aren't inflated and the service has been exceptional. In any power outage, they get power restored as quickly as possible.

In fact, I had my pole fall over a few years ago, (called after 5pm) and within 15 minutes there were 3 trucks here with the guys working until after 11pm to get everything back together!

I've always had great service from them and a satisfied customer.

I've had fluctuating bills through a year at this property. My last 3 bills (during decent weather) have been over $230 for an 1100sq ft apartment. Back when I first moved in here during good weather, the bill was $90-$120. There's no way in hell I am using twice the electricity in the same weather this year.

Scammy company that I definitely don't recommend if you have any other option at all.

Pine Shore Rentals has only this and only Mediacom for internet as options. So whatever you might save on rent, you'll be paying in extra utilities. Stay away from this location. And this electricity provider.

Our electricity went out with the storm and someone called us from Egyptian at 8am Sunday morning to make sure our power had been restored. We didn't know it was our generator not working and told them, no, it hadn't been restored. They said they'd send someone out immediately. We just moved here about four months ago and I'm overwhelmed by this kind of amazing and caring and personal service. I can't remember when I last - if ever - had this kind of prompt service. Thank you to Egyptian Electric and whomever services our area for being so on top of our safety.

I have just moved to a retirement apartment after 39 years of house ownership in the Egyptian Electric service area. I thank you for your technical and financial professionalism, friendly customer support, and genuine caring for customers.
