Horrible service. Power goes out almost daily at this point for the past 6 months. Finally called to inquire about it and even though the lady seemed somewhat interested, I have not heard back in 2 weeks. My power is also currently out for the past 1/2 hour and can’t get in my house because the garage door will not open. At least that’s how long it’s been since I got home so maybe been out for however long. Call their number and goes straight to a busy dial as well.
I can’t believe this is a supposed public utility and the state allows this. Actually worth a call to the state regulators at this point.
Yeah that response makes no sense nor do I care. Major outages yesterday. Another outage for significant time a month on the 9th. Power DAILY going out/resetting. Went out yet again today at about 1. My cameras notify me every time the power resets and I don’t even have to be home. ITS IS A DAILY OCCURRENCE and even after being notified and going through your 29 questions I have not received a call back nor a service technician come by. I feel like I live in a third world country.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Ana she was efficient and extremely knowledgeable. She helped me explore green energy options for First Southwest Bank and we were able to get our accounts switched to the plan that was right for our needs. She also helped me explore personal options for my power at home and gave me some great power savings tips that I wasn't aware of. Personable service that exceeded my expectations. Thanks Ana!

Horrible customer service... previously a neighbor moved in a couple houses down from us and they put their address as mine. Empire didn't catch it for 3 months and then they back charged me for 3 months due to their mistake, so now i have to pay them back for their mistake. I've been set up on automatic bill payment and now they're saying a check I wrote them did not go through which I've never wrote them a check because of automatic bill pay so now I've been stuck on the phone trying to talk to someone to get things sorted... they're horrible people to deal with. I've never missed a payment. To bad they have monopolized the market because I'd love to do business with someone else.

They change the rates without telling you. One day you go and check your bill and you've been charged 3 or 4 times your daily rate. If you call to inquire, they explain that they upped the rate but their system couldn't make the adjustment until the end of the month. So they have to charge you a lump sump off of your deposit, or add it to your bill and give you no explanation as to why. Once they returned my call and frustrated messages, the woman on the other end was super cool. She explained to me that it's an Empire problem and not our problem, but it is our problem. Say I only had 5 dollars left on my account and they do something like this. It becomes my problem when my power gets cut off due to Empire's billing issues. Some sort of an email or physical mail explaining to the consumer the upcoming changes would be the responsible and professional way to handle this.

Horrible service, tried to get an explanation of my bill and couldn't get one, they didn't know they weren't charged my "automatic account" so I have to pay everything at once, wish we have more companies around.

Power outages almost daily. Sunny, clear, no wind. What’s the deal? If it’s windy or snowing you should expect multiple power outages per day

I called to get "budget" billing where you pay one set fee year round. The lady who helped me was very pleasant and got me all taken care of even with the computer issues she was having. They also provide free of charge to members a room that you can use for birthday parties, wedding receptions or whatever. They are always super accomadating, I have never had a problem with Empire Electric.

Absolute garbage electrical company. Their infrastructure hasn't been updated in 50 years so it constantly goes out in the winter. My power has gone out 9 times in the last 30 minutes. I'll be lucky if ANY of my appliances survive this naked incompetence. They're going to get somebody killed in this deep cold and I hope they get sued into oblivion for it. They even changed their phone system to make it HARDER to report an outage, not that they'd do anything meaningful about it anyway. A very good example of why public utilities should never be privatised. 0 stars, 0 trust, bad company run by bad people.
