Following a visit by them for a preseason inspection, my wife had complained of a foul odor coming from the boiler they had said to inspect and had a series of terrible migraines, thus we contacted nicor to investigate the smell of the gas. We were told that the boiler they claimed to have serviced was emitting very high concentrations of carbon monoxide gas as a direct result of their tampering with our heating system. Subsequently, the boiler was turned off and we sat in the cold of winter for more than a week awaiting their call without heat. A few pipe lines had froze and caused major damage to the interior of our home as a result of such said negligence. The worst part was that nobody even bothered to call us back until well after the damage was done. We were told that in order to have someone come out we would have to pay a much higher rate than normal due to exigent conditions because their employees were out servicing other calls and our emergency was not an emergency to them. They were supposed to test for carbon monoxide as stated in their useless contract agreement. My newborn son and wife could have died from the highly toxic concentrations of carbon monoxide left behind following their negligent preseasonal “inspection.” I will never do business with them ever again. They do not honor contract nor have respect for their customers and are anything but professional! The work they do will always and only cause more harm than good. If you have anything done through them expect to receive the most absolute worst customer service possible! They will not follow through with promises and never return your calls. They will always blame the customer for their own inadequacies. Candy is a terrible representative! Customer service is awful and they will leave you without heating or cooling for weeks and could care less. They are the face of capitalism at it’s best, whatever saves the company a dime will be paid for by your expense; even gasoline to drive to your home. They will find the most expensive solution for any problem and leave a deep hole in your pocket. I will never work with them again and I advise you not to either because a warranty means nothing when you get blamed for their malevolent services. You have been warned. The people who rate their experience positively are either lying or paid for by fraudulent practices. The word customer service means nothing to them. They are always right. Ignorance is not bliss. Whoever coined the term let the buyer beware had been serviced by this group of cons and was surely bleeding from behind when they were done.

Our Air Conditioner began blowing warm last night, the air compressor wasn't turning on. I did the standard checks, breaker box, batteries in the controller and nothing worked. I called several places to no avail. everyone was too "busy" to help unless we wanted to use their "emergency after hours service" at a premium. The next morning, a friend recommended Energy Specialist & I called immediately. A lady answered the phone, was empathetic, but told me they were slammed with emergency installs. I thought "here we go again". to my pleasant suprise She told me there was a technician near by ( 20 miles) and that they'd work me in. He should be finished around noon to 2pm and they'd call. At 10 am I got a call saying he was available. Al showed up promptly and went to work, within minutes he tested my system and said the compressors good, now let's find the problem, within less than an hour Al was knocking on my door saying it was fixed and he need to check the pressure. AL then came back into my home, explained my problem (Fan capacitor) and showed me the bill. I was ecstatic with the fair price and the measures he took to insure only what was necessary was done and billed.

Our boiler started leaking on a Saturday in the middle of a winter storm a few months ago. ESCO had someone out within an hour of calling to stop the leak. The man was kind and professional, and stopped the leak quickly. They were out the following Monday to get a quote for a new boiler and were incredibly helpful. The boiler came in quickly, and not even a week later, the new boiler was installed. I can’t recommend ESCO enough!

Awful company. The owner is lazy and doesn't follow through on his promises. The office staff isn't much help either. Would never do business with them again!
