Environmental Learning-Kids is an astounding organization who cares about all children. We have been part of ELK for about 3 years now and our experience has been magnificent. I am the head of a unprivileged family where we commonly don't have the opportunities to experience outdoor activities, nor to have transportation to those spectacular places out of town, Those opportunities are gold for us. We are so grateful to have ELK in our community. Also, ELK, are powerful influences from excellent role models for our children who lack of male figures in their lives. ELK have had the top level staff who are kind, caring, loving, understanding, admirable, knowledgeable, wise, responsible, respected, champions, adventurous, brilliant, enthusiastic, friendly for our entire family. As a parent, having the possibility to be part of ELK, have change the direction of our lives, putting a positive and hopeful note in my kids future. My children are more happy and joyful, after experienced all this activities in nature, not only during their summer off school months, but throughout the 12 months of the year. ELK is a great community of parents and kids who have internalized important values and principles through ELK. We, feel safe and cared for, not only by the amazing ELK leaders but for the rest of the families who are part of ELK. We also have learned to be respectful to other humans and nature and to our entire world by taking care of our natural resources and landscapes, so we continue enjoying the vast mountain range here in Colorado. I want also to mention that adolescence is a big concern for me as a single parent of a special needs child, with all the challenges my kid faces, suicide has happened in my children's school; being part of ELK, I have noticed the difference of my children's attitude towards difficult events/circumstances, they have become more resilient and also more empathetic towards others, and I am proud to say that ELK has marked a difference in my children's lives when they say "Mom, I love this beautiful life".
Environmental Learning-Kids es una organización asombrosa que se preocupa por todos los niños. Hemos sido parte de ELK durante aproximadamente 3 años y nuestra experiencia ha sido magnífica. Soy la cabeza de una familia con bajos recursos economicos donde generalmente no tenemos la oportunidad de experimentar actividades al aire libre, Estamos muy agradecidos de tener ELK en nuestra comunidad. Además, ELK, tiene poderosas influencias de excelentes modelos a seguir para nuestros hijos. ELK tiene el personal de nmas alto nivel que es amable, atento, amoroso, comprensivo, admirable, conocedor, sabio, responsable, respetado, campeón, aventurero, brillante, entusiasta, amigable para toda nuestra familia. Comouna madre soltera, tener la oportunidad de ser parte del ELK, ha cambiado la dirección de nuestras vidas, poniendo una nota positiva y esperanzadora en el futuro de mis hijos. Mis hijos son más felices y agradables, al tener estas experiancias no solo durante los meses de verano, sino solo durante los 12 meses del año. ELK es una gran comunidad de padres e hijos que han internalizado valores y principios importantes a través de ELK. También hemos aprendido a ser respetuosos con otros humanos y la naturaleza y con nuestro mundo entero al cuidar nuestros recursos naturales y paisajes, para que continuemos disfrutando de la amplia gama aquí en Colorado. También quiero mencionar que la adolescencia es una gran preocupación para una madre soltera de un niño con necesidades especiales, con todos los desafíos que enfrenta mi hijo, el suicidio ha sucedido en la escuela de mis hijos; Al ser parte de ELK, he notado la diferencia en la actitud de mis hijos toman hacia las dificultades / circunstancias, ellos se han vuelto más empáticos con los demás, y estoy orgulloso de decir que ELK ha marcado una diferencia en la vida de mis hijos cuando los escucho decir "Mamá, amo esta hermosa vida".
