Avoid This Company – Dishonest, Unprofessional, and Dangerous Practices

I hired this company for what I assumed would be a simple, seamless oil tank removal for a small residential tank in Jersey City. However, this turned into a costly nightmare that compromised the safety of my home and my finances.

From the start, the company made promises of a fixed rate, only to later reveal hidden fees for each visit and truckload. They conveniently omitted this in their sales pitch, and the costs spiraled out of control, turning what should have been an affordable job into an outrageous bill. Worse yet, they didn’t even handle the job directly; testing and sampling were outsourced to other companies, showing they were neither equipped nor prepared for the work.

Their reckless actions went beyond financial damage. By removing too much soil, they compromised the foundation of my home, putting my family and property in danger. When I tried to address these concerns with the manager, Kieth, and another representative, Hugh, they were unresponsive and rude, even going so far as to curse at me for asking questions.

In the end, this company cost me tens of thousands more than anticipated and left me with lasting damage. I strongly urge anyone considering their services to look elsewhere. Their practices are immoral, unethical, and downright dangerous. Save yourself the money, frustration, and potential harm—stay away from this company!

Avoid This Company! Dishonest Practices and Extreme Overcharging

I hired this company to remove an oil tank, expecting a straightforward job with a fixed budget of $10,000—something they (Hugh) assured me they could honor. I explained that my funds were tight due to my wife’s cancer treatment, and they promised to keep the cost at or under budget with only two site visits. Unfortunately, this decision turned into a nightmare and the worst choice I could have made.

What was supposed to be a $10,000 job ballooned to over $30,000, with charges for excessive and seemingly unnecessary services, such as engineering, structural support, and the removal of 100 tons of soil—for a small, 550-gallon residential tank! Industry professionals later confirmed that their approach was wildly inappropriate for this scale of work; a contaminated industrial site wouldn’t have required so much excavation. Additionally, they did not test the soil on site with appropriate tools on site to ensure that the samples and the digging was happening in the correct areas.

To make matters worse, the manager, Kieth, was dismissive and only seemed interested in squeezing more money out of me. After firing this company, I found another provider who completed the job for a fraction of their price. I’m currently filing a complaint with the BBB to make others aware and to hold this company accountable for its unethical practices. If you value your time, money, and peace of mind, stay far away from this company!

I received a phone call from the company one week after I called and they gave me a quote to remove my fuel oil tank from the ground they gave me a fair price and when I called the company a second time around I was able to speak with one of their representatives who is able to answer a lot of my silly questions very professionally and I'm happy now with the services I received I will definitely do business with these folks in the future when I'm ready to remove my underground fuel oil tank
