I've dropped off residential-type waste twice now. It is extremely easy. I had an old TV tube from a 1960's color TV I needed to get rid of; they took it. I had burnt out florescent tube lights and old paints (oil & latex); they took it.
You park, let them know you're there in the office, they unload your waste, you pay your bill. An excellent service for all types of hard to get rid of materials that linger on properties and just need to go away and stop being moved around.

They recycle things that the city won't, such as fluorescent tube lights and air conditioning units. Yes, you have to pay for it, but they also have to make a living, so I'm happy there's any way not to put this stuff into the landfill.
