Just stayed for a night. The room is very nice for a motel and RV park. It's right off the highway, but without the noise in the rooms. Love the carport we got for our room. The beds are very firm, like you can bounce a quarter off them. Me and my back loved it. My husband? Not so much. The view out the front was pleasant, and one can enjoy a coffee looking. Okay, leaving we spotted a cat. Had to update. Makes it a 6 star

My husband stays here at least once a month to go fishing. We love getting our room and check in all by email. So easy and convenient. Love this place!

I've stayed here a few times over the years and it's always a great place! Not far from town and not far from the lake. Parking for boats!

Love this kind of last century era motel. You can pull right up to your own room & they have very comfortable beds with great smelling linens. The tongue & groove ceilings & wood trims are beautiful & they have a screaming fast wifi. Safe location just out of town.

Overall we had a good stay, but our expectations were much higher. Fawndale isn't really a resort and it's not really in nature. There is a small pool with very cold water and we weren't able to enjoy it even on a very hot day. The water was just too cold. Otherwise it doesn't offer much resort-like amenities. There's no gym and the game room is depressing. Fawndale is just off the highway and you can hear traffic all the time. There are no nature trails nearby or anything that's walkable. The outdoors are nice and green, but it was super hot to be outside during the day and in the evening there were mosquitoes.
All that said, it's very clean, the rooms are comfortable and having a kitchen, living room and AC were great.

this place has a campground and hotel rooms. We stayed at the latter. Comfortable and clean rooms. towels are medium thickness leaning toward thin. Shower stall on smaller side and it might take a little bit for the hot water to come when you start the shower. Location is at north side of town and quiet...away from town and traffic. People who run the place have always been nice and helpful. I've been coming here for nearly 20 years and happy with the place.

My family stayed in cabin 6, it has a private bathroom, two (relatively comfortable) queen beds, a ceiling fan, ac unit, heater, a full kitchen (with dishes, pots and pans, microwave, sink, paper towels, sponge, dish soap, full fridge, small oven, stovetop, and two coffee pots), as well as a four person dining table, and two person patio table.
To say that this cabin is cute is an understatement, as it far exceeded my expectations.

There is noise from the highway, but it isn't very bad while inside the room. The view of the grounds and hills are stunning, the pool looks nice (we didn't use it), there are BBQ's, a gazebo, and tables available. The cabins look like log cabins, and the theme carries from the outside to the inside.

One complaint is about the bathroom. The shower is barely larger than the average rv shower. I wear a size 12 in jeans, and I barely fit inside the shower. Often my body hit the door when I would spin around. Also, the water is either scolding hot, room temperature, or freezing cold...there is no in between. One last thing, the shower head is really finicky...it took several minutes to figure out how to make it properly spray and not just drip.

All in all, I highly recommend this place and will use it again in the future. I have never seen such a clean room...and I have stayed in very fancy hotels, and this room surpassed their cleanliness. 10/10 recommend. This place is a hidden gem!

I have stayed at this resort on motorcycle trips. Some of the cabins have covered parking which is great on a motorcycle especially during inclement weather.

They have gone to automated check in. They send you the room number and code to the door and you don't have to wait in line or have to deal with late check in issues.

I highly recommend the Fawndale.
