I went to the Shatterproof 1st responders program for 28 days on January 29, 2024 after the absolute lowest point in my life. From the intake process to the last minute there, everything was focused on my healing.

The staff was beyond incredible and I made lifelong friends.

This place literally saved my life.

As first responders, we are the helpers. But even then he helpers need help sometimes.

2 bedroom apartments, amazing gym, pool, grills, volleyball, cornhole..you keep your phone, you can order DoorDash and instacart. This place was nothing I ever thought a “rehab” would me. My family joked it was a resort instead.

Group and individual therapy. Brain mapping and stimulation. Massages. Cupping. EMDR. Integral Breathwork. Physical fitness classes. Acupuncture. Bio chair (soundwaves). All part of your treatment plan.

Furthermore, it’s been over a year and I still receive check ins from staff. I receive daily motivational messages.

This place doesn’t just take your money and send you on your way. They provide a lifetime of care.

If I could give it 10 stars, I would.

I cannot thank FHE enough for saving my life. The structure they provided helped reset my mind, and allowed me to truly focus on myself and my healing. Trusting the process was key, and it made all the difference. The staff at FHE is incredibly compassionate, and they genuinely want to see us all succeed. What’s even more amazing is that their support doesn’t end when you return home. The Alumni team stays in touch and is always responsive and helpful whenever I reach out. I've been fortunate enough to attend a few alumni meetings in person, and I really enjoy going back. I felt safe there. I became myself there. I opened up there, laid it all out, held nothing back, and trusted the process. Trust in their rules, the schedule, and the therapy—they truly work. And remember, we are all in this together. With FHE’s help, and the unwavering support of my amazing husband and kids, I’m proud to say I’ve been sober for one year and five months. I couldn’t have done it without them!

I would like to commend the volunteer work that is provided by FHE Health. The Alumni Service Workers have been a part of our Lynn Cancer Institute / World Cancer Day Tile Painting event for quite a few years. Truthfully, we could not do it without them - they have carried tables and moved our event inside during the worst rain and windstorm ever. This year they were our guest guides that escorted our guests to their designated tables for a light brunch and annual Tile Painting. Everyone commented on how professional, kind and fun these volunteers were. We look forward to them working with us again next year - many said that they were looking forward to coming back!! I have also referred them to other non-profits who host events. We are so grateful to FHE Health for providing us with the most amazing, dedicated and helpful volunteers! Thank you so much!

The mental health program was phenomenal and saved my life. I am so appreciative of the care and concern shown by all staff and peers. They genuinely helped me to feel safe and understood, personalized treatment is what I felt. I stayed two months, and happy I did, because what I needed was rest, focus on the group sessions and treatment plan, all to benefit me. I welcome everyone to just call and tell them what you need, or say help and everything will be ok.

I have been to FHE Health twice in my recovery journey, and it is, without a doubt, a literal life saver. The clinical staff are dedicated and thorough, the techs fair but always willing to help, and the alumni staff go above and beyond for people when they leave, I can’t say enough good things about this place. I felt safe, heard, and respected throughout my time here, and I specifically want to mention Charles and Hannah. They both are dedicated and understanding, to the degree that they are part of the reason I sought treatment again after relapsing. To any prospective clients or their families, you will not have this standard of care and treatment anywhere else!

The location is quite peaceful, which helped me during my recovery at fhe. The facility is very well-maintained and I appreciate the little touches like the landscape and outdoor spaces to be able to read and have a moment to yourself. The nurses and therapists were always kind, even when I wasn't at my best. It's a great place to rest and regain control.

I consider myself fortunate that I attended FHE, it changed every aspect of my life entirely. The staff of well trained doctors, therapists, nurses, and administration was beyond professional and helpful every step of the way. The daily group therapy sessions were pivotal in my recovery, along with breathwork, consistent workouts, meetings, and peer support. As I approach 1 year of sobriety, I am able to reflect more and more on the constant support I received while at FHE as well as after I left. I receive a daily inspirational text or affirmation from the Alumni program and have the option to attend the Alumni meetings every Wednesday evening. This is a great way to stay connected and also help others that are currently receiving treatment. I can't say enough amazing things about FHE. It was seamless from the minute I called for my intake interview up to the moment I left. Patty was my case worker and she was a delight she made the paperwork and logistics of treatment a breeze. Dana in residential was wonderful, she went above and beyond and ran an amazing group meeting. Marcus who worked in the residential part of the facility was amazing and always had a positive uplifting spirit. Viviana was my therapist during my stay and that woman changed my perspective on life and is a large part of the reason I am sober today and advocate for recovery the way I do. Art Jacobs came in weekly for group meetings and not only is he an inspiration but he truly made a mark on my heart and my life in recovery. Charles who at the time was in the residential unit but now is in the Alumni division was an absolute joy to be around and had words of encouragement and positivity every step of the way. Anthony in the billing department made the financial aspect of my stay seamless and was willing to accommodate my needs upon leaving treatment. The Director of the facility, Adis met every need or request I placed and was more than helpful with my discharge from FHE. I am truly grateful for the entire staff that work tirelessly to help others recover and reach their full potential. The professionalism and patience that I experienced first hand was absolutely amazing and the program that they run is changing lives every single day. Since leaving FHE, Hannah from the Alumni department calls to check in and see how I am doing and that is just top tier care in my opinion. I am blessed for all of the help I received at FHE and will forever be grateful for it.

FHE shatterproof is the program for veterans and first responders, and it’s the only reason I didn’t end up killing myself in 2024. I was admitted in mid February and stayed for 36 days.

Intake was very easy to follow and the staff were there to help ease me into the process. After a short detox that everyone is required to go through you’re placed in your appropriate location. I was transferred to the shatterproof side about three days after getting there and immediately there is a gym, a pool, group therapy, breathworks and a variety of other treatments.

In my time there FHE not just helped me overcome PTSD but gave me the fortitude and skills needed to help myself out of bad times when they do arise.
