I knew what I wanted (a maxed out "tier 1") ground-mount PV system with enough storage to keep my fridges and freezer going in a power outage.
I received quotes from a number of installers, but they were all either very far away or too expensive. Then I found Florida Solar Services and they were excellent, despite some unexpected hassle and expense that the County put us through in the permitting process. Gary made it happen at a reasonable price and the system is performing beautifully.

I was very apprehensive at first of a grid-tied solar array system as they are expensive and complex systems that require the right matched equipment and expert installation (no guessing on either). The companies I reached out to before FL Solar Services just did not make me comfortable enough to even request a quote. I like details on what I an getting and Gary (owner) took the time to explain everything involved with a grid-tied system. From the equipment, to engineering and permitting, to the agreement with the power company, Gary explained everything. Then Jonathan (expert in solar sales) took over and provided me an excellent proposal package with stamped engineering drawings (very nice), specs on all the equipment being used (also very nice), and also with an easy to understand contract. Half down, half when complete. After that, Guy (expert installer) and Mike (journeyman installer) did a very nice job of drilling a bunch of holes in my brand new roof! Absolutely no leaks so far. The panels, the electrical work, everything FL Solar did for me are clean, professional installs. I would have said something had they not been. They also installed a hybrid hot water heater for me that turned out to be a tricky installation because of local code plumbing requirements. Gary and his team took care of it. I could not recommend these guys more. Actually very rare to deal with a company with this level of integrity and excellent workmanship. I am waiting on a backup battery system to be installed by FL Solar and will immediately put them to work installing that when it comes in but unfortunately those batteries are delayed indefinitely. Give Gary a call, he literally can do anything solar related and do it right for a fair price.

Gary Wright and his team disassembled 3 old solar water heater panels (as well as 6 solar pool heater panels) before our new roof was installed, then installed 2 (that's all Gary recommended for my wife and I) new solar water heater panels. We elected not to replace the pool heater panels. We can't say enough good things about Gary and Florida Solar Services. Fair, prompt and honest in dealing with us. We highly recommend him.
