Super high electric charges. Water and trash charges are great but electric is through the roof. I have a brick house and keep the temp at 69-70. Windows are fairly new and insulated but my utility bill was $740 on February 21 and $653 on March 4th. Ridiculous!

They won't work with their customers. They want all the customers to pay in cash, like they're demanding you to go to the bank and get cash, saying you know there going to be a fee to use the card. Why are they asking the customer to pay for the fee when they are the ones responsible for getting the credit card machine. They only give you one extension for a whole year not even trying to prevent customers to going into a delinquent status. The statements does come out to give you time to pay the statements within 30 day notice nor grace period. The statements are not explanatory, you don't see nothing subtract away from the amount owed, everything is added too. Nor who paid what on the bill & the amount applied towards the bill. If an organization pays on your bill, you don't get a receipt saying what bill the organization paid on nor the business to say you've exhausted they're funds. The form for serious medical condition certificate to prevent your lights being turned off or emerge turned on, only applies during a master disaster. Meaning if it's a master disaster, the people that have medical conditions lights be turned on before the others which doesn't apply to the conditions of the people because they fix on lines that needs the most attention. If you're low income and you apply for assistance. They will not apply the money to your account until they receive the check from the assistance program. You will have to continue to pay your bill and late fees, cut off fees, if you're able or seek other assistance from other programs to keep your light on. Then when you do receive the money, they will go back & pay the bill they promised to pay & bills you've ready paid making it a recurring bill to the same bill, with no credits to your account. Disputing a bill is impossible unless you take him to court. I would advise anyone do not get a witness until they set a court date. They are very cold-hearted and greedy people. No one doesn't want to help the city of Franklin power lights other than Cooperative Ministry, Salvation Army, Stop Organization and Social Service. Other areas are sticking to their localities & don't want to help the people of Franklin Virginia. Some of the vehicle taxes are higher than some people's car payment. People be stealing trash cans or using other people trash can. Keep up with the number assign to you.

I went in to pay 38 cent bill I received on a disconnect notice🤷‍♀️ really ~ couldn't roll that over to the next bill Bills are ridiculously high in certain areas of town it seems. Electric bills higher than mortgages. As far as the staff ~ Thelma Picot is the best ! She is always friendly and helpful. For her I would give ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.

I'm not a fan of this place. People are over charged and seems like they make rules as they go. If they on da clock till 5pm why do ppl gave to pay additional fees if you need reconnecting b4 5pm. After hours is after the office is closed not while they still working. The deposit for service is ridiculous. And they charge a 75$ reconnecting fee plus 25$ more dollars if you come to pay after 3:30. Ppl are already struggling to pay the unnecessarily high bills as it is.

Franklin is the worst place to have Electric. I pay almost the same amount for electricity as I do for my mortgage. The city of franklin doesn't care. They just want their money. Can't afford to move because of over a $1,000 a month utility bill. When Damion power is less than a half a mile down the road from me and people pay less than $300 a month.

This place is slow. It's hard to get in touch with customer service. They have voice mails for people who don't return calls and you don't know who or where it's going to.

The electric bills are so ridiculous in our area. I hate give them all my money. But I must say it went this month, but I'm sure it won't last. But the people are always so pleasant taking my money.

This place is the worse. They know it is a struggle (for some of us) to keep current with our utility bills. It seems that someone would actually care enough to look into getting these high rates lowered just a little bit. But..... My typing this is all in vane.
