We had this company install the panels and battery wall partly because of the “30 year warranty “ they promised. They do not respond back when you put in a service request after our entire array went offline. We ended up using a different solar company (NeoVolta) and paying their service fee to fix our problem.

Almost 6 months after calling FreeVolt several times and putting in a service request we still have not received any type of notification back. We would have been out the solar production after all this time which would have been hundreds in dollars in utility costs.

I'm giving FreeVolt one star because that's as low as I can go. FreeVolt installed our system in November 2021 and promised us this amazing warranty and service with our solar system. In August of this year our system stopped producing power because of a problem with the Enphase part of the system. FreeVolt, who promised to monitor our system on an ongoing basis didn't even notify us that the system was down. Neovolta, the battery company, notified us that the system was not working and charging our whole house battery. We contacted FreeVolt on August 21st to tell them our system was not working. They indicated that we needed to submit a service request which we did the same day. No one ever contacted us regarding our problem even after numerous times trying to contact them about repairing our system. To date, no one from FreeVolt has addressed our issue with the system they installed. We finally paid another Solar Company $250 to come out and fix the problem, which by the way took less than 10 minutes, and FreeVolt should have fixed for free as everything is under warranty. Which we now know how good that is.

We purchased a home in June of 2023 with a new FreeVolt solar system AND A 30 YEAR WARRANTY! Upon moving in, the system was not functioning and it took a month and a half to get up and running.
My issue is that FreeVolt has gone out of business and the warranty is worthless. Recent rains brought four water leaks from my roof and upon two estimates to fix, the leaks are from poor insulation!
Humm… no warranty, a very expensive repair for my roof and no one is accountable!
I want FeeVolt international to step up and cover this warranty! All of us with these expensive systems deserve much better!

I've had my Freevolt system for almost one year. I'm sitting on a big credit from Southern California Edison, which was my goal--never to pay an electric bill again. Freevolt's team worked very hard installing the system during hot weather last year and fixed all the little last-minute issues that came up as needed. They ran interference for me with the utility company and the HOA on several issues, too. The system is invisible on my flat roof and I couldn't be happier.

*UPDATE* Almost exactly 1 year after our installation was completed we finally passed our solar inspection. (We failed when the Inspector came the first time). Meanwhile FreeVolt owes us 1000's of $$$'s for electricity bills we paid while they ignored completion of our job. High doubt I will ever see a penny as they are currently ignoring the invoice we monthly send to them. Our communication with this company has been bad since the beginning. They have no problem getting your panels installed but turned on is another thing. Ours have been installed for almost 5 months. They have yet to be turned on because FreeVolt has not requested final inspection. In the meantime we are paying for solar panels as well as all time high electricity bills. I have tried to contact them thru phone, email, even requesting a "new quote" all in the hopes someone will get back to me and tell me what is going on. Don't do it.

The team that worked on our home on Tennessee in Palm Desert were the greatest guys. 112 degrees and got things done so fast. Very thoughtful. Asked me if I had any questions throughout the process. I would recommend FreeVolt to others! Thanks guys! Pretty excited about it. And they even went to purchase paint to paint around electric box on outside of home?

I am very disappointed with your company. Although the contract states that it will be within 120 days, your company has not taken any action since April, neither answering your email nor answering the phone. This comment is from my own sincerity. If you need to find a solar energy company, I do not recommend this company. I am an ordinary civilian myself. I hope everyone can seriously consider it.

Your company signed the contract on April 11, and then after a month, nothing was arranged, and asked again on June 2, saying that it was already on the way, and now it is July 18. What does this mean? Where is it arranged? Don't answer the phone either.

It's now 2024 and no one has come to help me connect my solar circuit. I still have your receipts and I'm ready to go see a lawyer.

I signed a contract with FreeVolt in September of 2022 for a solar installation and a new roof. I was given very strong assurances that the job would be completed by the end of November. I am writing this on February 24, 2023 and not one piece of solar equipment has been installed. The roofer finished his work mid-October but still has not been paid. FreeVolt has set 3 appointments over the course of three months(Dec,Jan,Feb)with SoCal Edison for the de-energize/re-energize to install the new main electric panel. Edison was here all three times but FreeVolt was a no show two of those times - without explanation. The one time that they did show up the installer hadn’t brought the right parts to do the job, but instead of calling the office to have the parts delivered, he just canceled the job. If I could have given FreeVolt zero stars, I would have. Terrible company
