I've had a residential solar array since SEP2019. The original installer went bankrupt.
In May2024, the inverter broke down. I contacted the manufacturer as it was still under warranty. They sent me a new inverter, but I had to find an installer to get it installed.
After calling several other companies and being told they couldn't help me, Green Alternatives said they would.
They came and installed my new inverter and got the communication for monitoring set back up, all under warranty, didn't cost me a dime.

Green Alternatives installed a solar system at our home. Everything was going great and in good time until they stopped showing up, my panels sat not hooked up for 2-3 months. I just watched the sun beat on them thinking about how much energy was not being collected. Once they finally got them all hooked up, the service provided after getting paid for the job has completely stopped. They do not return phone calls and any help I have needed with the inverter, I have had to reach out to the manufacturer to get help on.

We did a tour of homes with them a couple of years ago. We were very impressed by the systems they had set up for other customers. The people that owned the systems were kind enough to share their experience and answer questions. We finally ended up buying our own system a few months ago. We are very happy with it! Everyone on the team was friendly and helpful. Duke Energy tried to throw us a curve ball but Cindy was a huge help getting all of that straightened out. We haven't had our system for very long but after talking to other owners, I feel confident that we will be saving money and the environment for many years to come! And now we can finally stop getting those nasty letters from Duke about how high our usage is 🙂

Very helpful throughout the quoting process as I continued to ask more questions and change my mind. Ultimately installed 10KW rooftop system with battery backup in 2017. Excellent customer service since then as well. Notably when the system went down on Thanksgiving day as we were starting to cook and I called Chris and he talked me through figuring out the issue and getting it fixed. Very happy with the professional and helpful folks at GAI!

First array, late 2012, 2nd array in spring 2013 and added another in 2018 along with battery backup. Always knowledgeable, always great work and always attentive whenever that need arise. Fine people to work with on all things solar! Highly recommend them to anyone considering solar, residential, farm or business. Love these folks‼️

We are a medium sized electrical contractor in West Central IN. We have tried to do business with GAI on several occasion and can not get any real effective communication or support from them. This company is not ready for prime time.

* EDIT TO ADD * GAI did eventually get back with us and provided a proposal that was well thought out.
