I had a dripping outside hydrant. The technician said he could fix the hydrant. He proceeds to turn the knob and tell me the problem was that I had failed to turn it off completely. Unfortunately, when I looked it was still leaking. To which he replied it was probably just a worn washer. He went to his large work van (it is slightly smaller than an UPS truck), returning to state that he had no replacement faucet and only one, not new, washer. After making the washer switch, he stated there would only be a 30 day warranty for this part since it was not new, if it had been a new part it would have been a 12 month warranty. I am still trying to puzzle out why the customer is penalized because DrainGo's large work van failed to have the new parts needed for the job. Next is payment, the representative I spoke with on the phone advised the service call fee is $89 and if I let the technician proceed with the job the $89 is deducted from the total price. My final cost was $175 this is AFTER the $89 credit. It is stunning to believe that a gently used washer with a 30 day warranty cost $264. I am actually very thankful that there was no replacement faucet in the very large work van. The technician stated the cost was so high because he had to come from Birmingham. I did not even realize until he arrived in the DrainGo van that Gamble Pluming had been sold. When I called to make the appointment the phone was answered Gambling Plumbing not DrainGo or even DrainGo doing business as Gamble Plumbing. They still use the Bibb County telephone number so you really would not know you are speaking with a company out of Birmingham and there will be extra cost involved for just that reason. It does not seem to be full disclosure. Lastly, I do not like the fact that I was not given any form of work order, paid invoice or receipt showing the work performed, a breakdown of the cost and the amount I paid.

Two men from gamble plumbing changed the kitchen faucet and left it leaking under the sink. He said I needed a fitting to connect the water filter back on the faucet. My daughter connected the water filter without a fitting. When they came back the next morning to check the leak that I had to repair because he didn't tighten the pipe he said he didn't say that about the water filter. I was told $80.00 to change the faucet, I was charged $98.00. Call someone else.

I had an emergency during a freeze a year or two back. My washing machine lines froze and then flooded my basement. I was referred to Gamble by some friends and they sent a plumber out the next day to replace the lines and prevent the same problem reoccurring. It was a difficult job. The cost was a fraction of what I expected and was lucky to get someone out so soon given many other people were having similar freeze/flood problems at the same time. I have used them again since and was equally satisfied. No problems since with either job.

If you call the 938- number, it goes to drain go. Not, Gamble. My mother wanted to use a local company and called the number but drain go showed up. For less than an hour fix, charged her 620.00. Maybe 100 in parts. Gamble was great, but make sure when you call, who is actually receiving that call.

Asked them to come change out a garbage disposal. Said they would come out the next day, but would not give me a time. They called that morning at 7 AM and woke up my wife. When I called them back at a more reasonable time, they were not able to come that day after all. Asked if they could come on Monday, and the guy said he didn't work on Monday, but would let his boss know. Never heard from them again. Very unprofessional all around.

Too expensive! We had a leaky pipe, they came and put a temporary fix with a 25 cents clamp and charge us over 500 bucks!!! rip off!!
