I had an unforgettable experience with Gastineau Guiding on a whale-watching tour in Juneau! Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and provided fascinating insights throughout the trip. We saw an abundance of whales, which made the tour even more exciting. I also loved the boat’s design! Every window could be opened, so we got to enjoy the fresh air and up-close views of the wildlife while still having the option of staying sheltered. It was truly the best of both worlds! I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Juneau.

We did a small group tour of whale watching and a rainforest walk to Mendenhall Glacier, booked from the Celebrity Edge last month. Andrew was our main guide, Kylie drove (and also guided) and Robbie piloted our whale-watching vessel. All three were so personable and did such a wonderful job of storytelling, teaching, and answering any and all questions. I truly enjoyed the their guidance, and being with a smaller group (20 people) made the experience so much more enjoyable and personal. When in Juneau, I highly recommend Gastineau Guiding for your next adventure. 5 stars all the way!

We had an amazing time with Mischa, Avery and Capitain Michelle. Even though it was the end of the season they managed to make us see a whale, orcas, sea lions and lots of eagles in addition to the wonderful landscapes we saw on the tour (even a double rainbow). But the best of all was all the information shared by our passionate guide, who had facts and anecdotes about every animal we met and even knew the whales by their name. I appreciated to learn so much about the culture and the ecosystem of Alaska, thank you!

One of the many highlights of our family’s Alaska trip. Our guide Andrew along with Captain Mitch in the Endeavor made this excursion unforgettable.
The very experienced Captain Mitch wasted no time getting us to the perfect spot to see many beautiful Humpback Whales. Then after explaining how you will seldomly see Orcas, Captain Mitch had us right beside a pod of them.
Andrew was very knowledgeable and engaging. He let our kids assist in documenting the 2 large sunflower star fish that were caught in the crab trap.
This is an excursion that we would definitely do again on our next visit.

Great time with the fam, saw some Humpback whales and a couple sea lions popping out of the water. Also went through the temperate rain forest where our guide, Dennis, told us about the history of the forest and the different plants that are there. We then walked over to a clearing where we could view the Mendenhall glacier. After the glacier, Joe drove us to the port and boarded our boat. Captain Michelle was great and she took us to places where the whales were, Dennis on the other hand told us facts about whales and their habits. We saw many Humpback Whales and a few Sea Lions. Overall I had a great time and I came back with a lot more knowledge and experience with the oceans and its animals.

My family and I took this tour on a gorgeous sunny day in late June. Our tour guide was Kayeska. I can't say enough about Kayeska. What a truly amazing and hysterically funny young lady. She is knowledgeable, friendly, courteous, and did I mention funny. We saw several whales on our tour today, and the second half of the tour is through a rainforest. Beautiful views, and we saw a variety of birds too. I highly recommend this tour. We loved the entire experience.

We recently did this tour on an Oceanic Cruise with Kayesca, Bruce and Derek-- great time-- lots of info-- saw the Glacier and lots of whales-- AND Stellar Sea Lions.. the folks who did this tour were the best! and showed us the best way to see Juneau that we otherwise would not have seen.. (I think this tour can only be done via a cruise ship..)

Our rainforest hike/whale watching experience was the highlight of our 7 day Alaskan cruise. We had Acadia as our tour guide and captain Jenna during the boat section. Both were awesome, very kind and we learned SO MUCH from them. It was amazing getting to experience the Alaskan wildlife up close. I would recommend them over and over again.
