They came up with an estimate which was more then $800 and then after they started fixing( after 4 hours they started fixing it) they admited that thermo king was so complicated for them. However, they charged more than $900 at the end. Next day our APU stopped working and we were so far away to come back. Basically, they took almost $1000 to not fix our APU. So never again!!!

Changed a belt on a reefer in less then
30 min. $199 per hour 1 hour min. Ok I get that But to add on another $100 for internal fees for which they had no explanation I don’t understand that. And in 15 years of being in trucking all over the country I have never encountered that. They call it “technology fee”. $8 part. $199 labor $100 fees. lol

Apu Perry Master Piece,
Instincts is the closest thing we have to call ourself God. And today am the happiest guy alive. Love my job and love comfort after work. I pray to God to give me the strength to keep helping family back home in Ghana. This year was the hardest year since i been in business. Use to have a use APu on my truck which gave me hell during to oil leak and the coolant line was not done rite.I change two use Apu on my truck due to improper installation. I witness and testify the understanding of an excellent mechanic today. Doctor Perry I see you ain’t about money when it comes to work because there is no price tag you can put on joy and happiness on customers face.What I can say is God truly bless your family and your work and grant you what your heart truly desires. Your ethics of work is unmeasurable and I understand safety is what you measure your excellency by. Moreover i want to conclude by shouting out Sal Vasta for bringing me to the Gateway family from Delaware to Justice Illinois. In and out with in 3h, and Lissa since she knew that I'm an owen operator and pay myself, she made a great discount on labor for me!!!

I must say I dealt with a few different carrier dealerships since I’ve own my Reefer Trailer from Prime 8yrs ago and by far Gateway is the best to continue bringing my trailer here for service.
I was introduced to this company I was leased on to as an Owner Operator cause my unit kept shutting down temp not making it to -10.
After spending $4k with parts and labor on 2 different occasions the mechanic finally realized I needed a new compressor. Mind you I just had a compressor installed less than a year ago from a Carrier Dealership in another state that i spent over $5200 with parts and labor so my unit was warranty.

Roger “The Supervisor” of this location is one hellava great guy and went over beyond to make sure my unit gets the proper repair and to make sure this unit will be finally up and running properly.
Not only did they get my unit right in the bay with repair the new compressor installed less than 24hrs is a breath of fresh air as a Owner Operator to see the temp going doing to -10 quick fast and everything seems to be running smoothly so I can get back out there making money and just only need to come back for normal oil change staying on top of my equipment as always.

Once again thank you to Roger and his Mechanics plus the office ladies that grew to know my name and remember my face as I stuck with them to get my unit running properly and I recommend anyone that needs Reefer assistance with there mechanics working all the way to Midnight from M-F at the labor rate $200 hr you can’t beat that service#TruckLife 🚛🚛🚛💰

I have a boxtrack with a Carrier 50x reefer. In a little over 4 months, they changed the compressor 3 times and each time I paid $1,500-2,000. How much did they ask them to find out the cause of the breakdown before installing a new one. The first compressor jammed after 3 months, the second - after a month, the third - within a week. A very bad company.

This place charged me $240 for a apu water pump, $154 for a apu temperature sensor, and $68 for a apu thermostat. Just for parts.
