Horrible Experience with Geoenvironmental Services in Mechanicsville - Avoid at All Costs!”

I called Geoenvironmental Services six weeks ago to schedule a shrink soil test. They never mentioned anything about needing to mark the area or being present, so I specifically asked if I needed to be there. The guy said NO. Fast forward six weeks later, and after no word from them, I called to follow up, only to be told that the technician came, saw no stakes in the ground, and just left! When asked who was i speaking to The guys refused to provide his name !!!
Apparently, he “left me a gazillion messages” — except that he never called, and never left a single message.

Why didn’t they just call when there were no stakes? Total incompetence. They didn’t provide any instructions in the first place, then acted like it was my fault. And now I’m back at square one after waiting six weeks for NOTHING. Completely unprofessional. I wouldn’t even recommend this company to my worst enemies.

Bad service. Bad communication. Just BAD overall.

Avoid Geoenvironmental Services if you want your time and sanity intact.

I could not be more pleased with the service that I have received from Larry and his team. These folks were intelligent, articulate and very professional. Larry got on the phone with me personally anytime there was something to discuss and took all of my questions with care and patience. I am grateful for all their hard work and explanation. Furthermore the county, upon their request, expedited my permit! I don’t know that I can ask for anymore from anybody as a vendor then I have received from these guys. A plus!

Ecofailure (Geo Environmental doing work as Radon Controls) installed our radon mitigation system. We tested our radon levels with a long term test before and after the installation to measure effectiveness. The results didn't change, we spent thousands on mitigation that doesn't work. Owner references legal language in the contract that allows them to install systems and perform services that are failures. They do not stand behind their work and I do not recommend this company.

I used them to perk test for a septic system on some land that was questionable for a conventional system. Their inspector did a great job of really testing the property to see if anywhere perked. Lots of companies will just do a bore in one spot and saying you need an alternative system without exhausting all options. I would use them again for sure.

Charged and invoiced for work that was never done. Then yelled and cursed at me and his employees over the phone. We were left in a tough place with open sewage on our back yard as a result of his work. Stay away. There are other great providers in the area.

Mr Sweeny was very informative and experienced in his profession, he explained everything, and found the best solutiion to my septic issues. I highly recommend this experienced staff.
