My organization has ordered equipment from this location for two years now and unfortunately have had rather poor experiences with customer service every time. Looking at other reviews I'm hoping these occurrences have been an anomaly -- it seems like there are far more happy customers! Still, I wanted to put this out there for other groups ordering from them. We've worked with two different reps and each time have been frustrated with the ordering experience. Our most recent contact was prompt in responding to quote requests, but added product we did not ask for to the invoice, and then could not be gotten ahold of when trying to submit/correct the order. After two follow-up emails and an un-returned phone call, I finally contacted someone else in the company who got our most recent order submitted. The entire process took over 3 weeks from time of first contact to getting the order submitted, simply because none of those emails or the phone call were ever returned. To Geotech's credit, once the order was submitted, it did show up within two days, which was appreciated. Unfortunately when the order did arrive, it had the incorrect product in it that had been added to the invoice by our rep and that we had explicitly asked to be removed. On top of that, we did not receive a receipt from Geotech until 10 days after the order was placed, at which point I called and talked to their accounts receivable department to get a copy. Overall everyone I spoke to was very pleasant and helpful - it just seems that there are channels within Geotech where communication is getting lost or glossed over, and processes that one would expect to be quick that are concerningly delayed. If you are ordering remotely from Geotech or working with a rep, I would be prepared to follow up frequently, wait a good while, and to talk to several people before things get done.
