Today your company came to montura ave and cut lower tree at 7 feet if lines are at 15 feet who was the smart idea to destroy palms?
Palms needs years to touch your lines respect private property
Mrs brent came and he doesn't care if his team destroyed little palm he doesn't respond for damage
All montura ave has little palm but only at my house his team destroyed a little palm he discriminate and enjoy.just for fun....
This is kind of company that we have of electricity not for choose.
08/04/2024 glades every month cut the electricity.they expenses a lot of money change the poles and destroy the woods for nothing

I used to think fp&l stood for frequent power loss, but glades electric beats them for poor,horrible service hands down! Wind blows just a little,power is out! When the repair guy finally showed up 90 minutes later,and was questioned why it took so long,he stated he lived an hour away!! Can't believe a company this large has only this guy in our area of highlands county! After that,still took more than an hour to come back on! On the other side, if you want your day ruined from the start, call what they call customer service. Idiots in moorehaven will answer the phone,and you definitely won't like that! I requested a phone number for lake placid customer service, I was satisfied with their service, they said that can't be done😥😣

UPDATED ~ THEY ARE EXTORTING PEOPLE
Glades Electric is the absolute worst! This podunk company adheres to no professional courtesies, or professional conduct. The office customer service people are rude and have no empathy for the real world struggles, they give zero concern to the customer and the income struggles that most of us are going thru.. I suppose this is what you get in this area, an unprofessional , greedy company with rude employees. PLEASE ALLOW FOR A MORE CUSTOMER FRIENDLY ELECTRIC COMPANY TO COME IN AND HELP SERVICE THE COMMON PEOPLE!!

I still stand by the above comment but have some additions to it..
While the world still struggles with debt to income, Glades Electric will make you pay ADDITIONAL money to you original deposit if you get to many “points” on their ridiculous and childish “creditworthy” scheme or should I say scam! I believe it is illegal to after a year charge an additional “deposit” due to economic hardships… I will research that. Either way, I stand by my original comment about this “for the customer company”. I’ll also be stopping by the BBB for a complaint.
Also, per their response to my review, I was asked to call to address the issues I stated…. And once again I was treated with disrespect, spoken to rudely and was again told “ there is nothing they can do” … I’m sorry but there is always options, any big company like Xcel will find every way possible to help you, not make excuses why they can’t! Glades Electric cares nothing for the custome! Plain and simple! WE NEED A BETTER ELECTRIC COMPANY CHOICE!!

Absolutely horrible! I have always paid my bill and never had it shut off, but because I was late a few times because I don't have a lot of income they tacked on a $645 deposit. I looked up the law on this and state law says they charged too much. I tried to file a complaint, but guess what a rural cooperative isn't regulated by the state. It's owned by the customers they serve and aparently do not have to follow state law. If that's the case and we as customers own and regulate it why are so many people so unhappy? I want a different electric company!!! Do away with the local co-op!

🤦🏾‍♂️This company (Glades Electric) is a serious problem!!! They cannot keep Constant power. I called and complain about the power issues…. I was told by the rude representative for the company that the power outage is not their fault. They charge me 75.00 to look at the problem and they never even came out to the property hence they still charged 75.00 to my account that exceeds 450.00 every month. This is unacceptable I hope that we as customers can start a process of having FPL service our area. I’m sending a detail letter to the county commissioners,FPL board, and Tallahassee asap!!!

We were in the direct path of hurricane Ian and they had my power restored in 2 days. Absolutely fantastic. This is by far the best electric company I have had. I purchased this house 2 years ago and have never had an issue with service or customer support.
