For me this cleaners deserves no stars, but two thumbs DOWN!! Took a brand new dress there for alterations and wow was it altered. A open front dress that closed with an attached belt, should have been taken up a little on the shoulders and on the bottom to fit my waist and hips better ok. I had to STRUGGLE and have someone to help get the dress on because the seam on shoulders was taken up so much, it altered the arm hole, bust and waist line. Once on, the flimsy hook at bust line, didn’t work so I had to find a safety pin, in St Lucia. Once home, the seamstress told me she would fix and maybe owner would give me some money back, good. But the young woman handling the cleaners had other plans. First off she was very rude and nice nasty with me. I tried the dress on in front on her so she could see the problems. BUT, she had already torn the label out with brand name and size on it, TOLD me how much the dress cost, between $$ and $$ , so just bring in, no email receipt! So you checked the price of the dress?” Yes just get receipt “. No mention of alteration change of $75!
So hard to stay calm as she gave, no put email address on the counter and the real slap in the face, she balled dress up and threw in a chair and smug look. That dress was still my property, but to cover up their error, this was how you handled it. Best thing for me to do, was to leave because the rage inside was about to blow. BBB and The Attorney Generals office will be contacted

I dropped my 800$ Canada goose jacket off to them and when I got back my hood was not able to be reattached and she was trying to charge me extra to fix something she broke. She tried to say my coat was already broken. Worst experience ever

Used this business to get a dress cleaned in a hurry plus at least 3-4 times more since then. I must say, the service is extremely fast, especially for such a good job they do. They also are friendly and rather intelligent concerning all things laundry and cleaning. They made my dress look brand new, and this dress was at least 4 years old. I have and will continue to use them time and time again. I recommend people look no further for a great, affordable, quick and friendly cleaner in Chicago. Give them a try, you definitely won't regret it.

WORST EXPERIENCE WITH A BUSINESS EVER

Gave my coat to them on a Tuesday and was told it would be cleaned by Thursday evening so I could use it that Friday. When I came on that Friday morning they didn't even know what coat I was talking about even though I had a receipt. Took them 5 minutes to find their copy of the interaction and told me to call back the next day to get it. Called the next day and they said it had been sent out to be cleaned (something they did not inform me about any of the times I was there) and to call back on Monday. Called on Monday and the coat had been sent to a different location. Finally, on Wednesday got it back but at no time did they fully explain what happened or apologize or even contact me to let me know anything. Please do NOT go to them!!

I needed to get my suit dry-cleaned for a job interview, and my friend who used to live in Hyde Park recommended Golden Touch Cleaners. She even said that Barack Obama used to go here for his dry cleaning, but who knows lol. But the service was excellent; they did my suit much quicker than I had anticipated and the price was extremely fair. I also had some nice small talk with the owner, whom wished me luck at my interview.

Chipotle mayo on white pants - they're ruined, right? Three places I brought my pants two, and each one left a slight stain on my beloved pants. Golden Touch should have been my first choice. No other place I've gone to before or since has been as good for dry cleaning. Quick turn-around time and excellent service, highly recommended!

I recently moved to Chicago from PA. I now live in Lake Forest, which seems to be the dry cleaner capital of the world, but for the first few weeks I lived in the Hyde Park Area. When I asked about a place to get my suit spotless clean in a crunch, I was always pointed toward Golden Touch.
The popular opinion was correct. My suit is interview ready, and it was finished faster than anyone could reasonable expect. Plus, word is Obama got his suits here…must be good!

NEVER EVER will my Mom take her clothes to this cleaners. First of all, there was poor customer service. The cashier looked like she had been in a fist fight by the face, guess she was upset about that moving slow. Went in the back, didn't bring out all items, had to be asked where are the rest of the clothes. Secondly charged my Mom an extra 2 dollars stating that when clothes were dropped off the attendent priced it wrong. Lastly there is a huge rip in my Mom's skirt. They made a point to put a sign up stating that they weren't to be held responsible for Any mistakes. Are you kidding me. Never going back!!
