I went into this Goodwill and I found a small pink sweater for my dog which did not have a tag. I found the ONLY other dog sweater in that section and likely the store since it was the miscellaneous linens section—same color, just slightly larger but wouldn’t have fit my dog. I brought it up to the front to explain this to the cashier and she just said “we can’t sell it to you without a tag.” Umm…as a Goodwill employee can’t you add a tag right now? Why did someone put the merchandise on the floor without a tag? And now you can’t fix the mistake as soon as a customer brings that to their attention wanting to buy it? I walked out of the store and won’t be coming back.

I hate that they don’t let you use the bathrooms or fitting rooms. They removed the mirrors and the prices, so you have to ask them how much everything costs, and it’s pretty expensive for thrifting. I asked ahead of time if they had Apple Pay and was told they did. After waiting forever in line, they told me they only have Apple Pay for Mastercard, which I did not have. It’s always pretty clean but they never refill their hand sanitizer.

Update: They added mirrors on the edge of the racks and put prices for clothing back up.

Terrible customer service when I was at the checkout the lady was shuffling through all the clothes ripped off the tag and said I'm sorry I can't sell this to you because no tag no sale but she did it right in front of me and then she calls over the manager and the manager says sorry no tag no sale and they were very rude especially the cashier. Also they started a new color coding on the tags and none of them had prices on them and there is no papers stating what color is what price.

Staff appears to purposely not price items to keep them for themselves. While in line, I saw how two cashiers removed an item from customer’s selection, stating that because the price tag was missing they could not sell the item.

My daughter and I shop at both locations in Turlock frequently, they have good items, however, I am not happy with the customer service practices. Covid restrictions have been over long ago and they are still holding on to Covid practices. They don't allow anyone to use the bathrooms or dressing rooms. And they also removed the mirrors from the wall, an employee stated that the mirror had broken which I believe to be untrue as I had been told by an employee during another visit, that they planned on taking them down to discourage customers from trying on clothing. My daughter was trying on clothes in the isle over her own clothes and looking at herself in a mirror that was for sale, an employee came over and moved it and stacked pictures over it when she stepped away to look at another rack nearby, they made her feel uncomfortable. They also refuse to sell any items that are not priced, I find these practices to be very bad retail services and poor marketing procedures. Your inventory is given to you by your community and as a company that I am sure makes a lot of profit off of the community that they serve, you would think you would want to do a better job serving the customers that frequent your business. I have been to many other locations in other areas, the employees are very helpful and accommodating, the restrooms and dressing rooms are open for their customers and they have no problem pricing an item at the register that may not be tagged. Turlock Goodwills NEED to do a better job of serving their community, that so generously provides the items for the establishment to stay in business. I asked for the phone number for the corporate office and the employee refused to give it to me.

Don't like the idea of everything being the same price something should be lower than what they were that I spent today
